Sam Crawford went 3 for 5 while knocking in five as the Superbas beat the Pirates 9-1 for their 9th straight win.

Christy Mathewson showed why he is probably the best pitcher in the league as he led the Superbas to a 4-1 win over the Cubs.

Hugh Duffy of Inglis has been named Manager of the Year for his Rookie league.

Next year we are moving him up to Double A Portland.

Roy Hartzell, who is now with the Superbas, was named Player of the Year for his AAA league. His teammate with the Thunder Jets, Art Griggs, was runner up.

Not only did Bill Bailey pitch a strong game but he also homered in a 6-2 Superba win over the Reds.

Boston lost so Brooklyn has a one game lead again.

Six games left and half of them are against Boston.

Meanwhile, the Philadelphia Athletics have clinched the AL Pennant.
