The purpose of this "mini-whale" concept was to make a Perfect League with a cap to see how it works and give people something unique to do for a few weeks. It allows us to test the friends list and gives us something else to talk about in a weekly thread. It may keep the same group together for a while too. I never really considered anything other than a Perfect League until we started thinking about the effects of relegation and promotion.

My idea was that the Diamond list is there to serve as a "waiting list" for the Perfect League, and a place for the relegated teams to go and fight their way back up. If everyone in the Diamond League wants to make the cap 35, that's fine with me. I think that should be up to them. But I can see an issue if people get relegated to Diamond and have to cut their roster. You should think about that.

The good news... my players are all still there and I didn't sell them in a fit of rage. The bad news... my players are all still there.

I checked the schedule and it seems I have been playing all of the good teams. Maybe that's why I had such a rough start. Then I considered that maybe those teams have good records because they have been playing me.

Good point. We should give it a trial run before considering any tweaks.

You actually made a good point about your Yaks. It is hard to get back to 50 when you have a well oiled pitching team like your Yaks.
How are the Yaks doing this season?

The BaseStealers are in P404 with Big Bang Quasars (22 Perfect cards, Adirondack Lolcats (Perfect Pedro and Perfect Rivera) and Barely Legal Jesus (another Perfect Pedro).

So far I am 5-4 against them (and two losses decided by a single point) but 16 more games to come.

We are 39-19 and on a 13 game win streak for now. We started May 1-7 but got it straightened out. I am in P402 this season. There are some good teams and some with many 100's. But I will keep depending on my staff to keep things on line. You know my style, out score my opponent by keeping his score low not by trying to crush HR's like many of the players with all the Perfects try to do.

Agree, too hard to make consistent contact.
Kevin Brown finally moved into my rotation and replaced Cy Blanton.

I had so much luck with Jose Ramirez (91) on the Coyotes team but I can't seem to get him to hit the ball for my Base Stealers. 3B has been a consistent struggle.

I will look for you with the other Redmond team (same speed & defense philosophy). Maybe we get shuffled into the same league for a new match.

This continues to be a weird year for me. I am holding a slim 1/2 game lead over teams in my division with 76, 69, and 85 on the Orcin scale. We lead the league in runs scored, and are last in runs allowed. Things seem real extreme for me this year.

I got some bad news, I lead by two games over a team who has won 134 games and the least amount he has won in a season was 111 has now bought The Perfect Pedro. ��. Guess he does not like being in 2nd place after half the season. (He has won every Division he has played in.)Thank God I am 9 games better then the wild card team because with just a two game lead and now he adds Pedro to a roster that averages exactly 120 wins a year with out Pedro , Now with adding Pedro the Division seems quite bleak. What was the odds of a league of over 5,000 players that the guy who would get Pedro would be in my Division. To make matters worse (For me ) he averages 120 wins without him.

Very weird. My 11 pt team in Diamond has been in 1st all season. I keep waiting on them to crash back to their 70 something win level of past Diamond seasons. But they just keep cruising. Now I am starting to squirm worrying that they may make the playoffs and get hot and get promoted to Perfect.

Well let’s both just make the playoffs where anything can happen and get ready to down grade to our friends league next week. Next week could be a great week. The Rams in the SB and I am originally from California and if the friends league works.....Well it has the makings of a good week. I have to pack a little. I'm originally from Massachusetts, so I'll be really rooting for the Patriots to lose.

And I'll keep my fingers crossed that the friends feature does work. Next week could be really fun!
