I havent had a chance to look at the bout logs but that was a nice matchup. Lastra beating Taylor had to be a nice little win for you and it cant be so bad that Mancini lost his unbeated record to one of your originals in UTBA1. You really dominated the strong point of my team IMO at BW.

Thanks, Romy. Although I was disappointed that Schmeling got the better of Langford. With the way each of them have been in the HBF that would have never happened.

Thanks, Brooksie. I wouldn't say your guys are bums. It was a pretty close matchup.

I have some pretty old stats somewhere, too.

First game I got was AH's Superstar baseball . . I think for Christmas '75 or more likely, '76. My first full-league game was APBA, which I got for the first time in '78 (based on 77). I got that for three years, tried Statis-Pro once and switched to SOM, til around 84, when I stopped buying card sets. (well, until I discovered EBay).

I've gotten maybe 3-4 versions of SOM baseball for PC, but still dig the APBA Master game now and then. I actually played an entire season once, the 1908 AL . .took about three years, or around 616 games in 1100 days.
I started the NL, but was so tired of it, played about two weeks and I haven't touched it in about four years.

Played/owned a pile of sports board games, Speed Circuit, USAC Auto Racing, Title Bout, All the AH Strategy Games, APBA Horce Racing, Golf and bowling . .pretty much everything AH and APBA made . . . Time Travel Baseball (getting killed by a pitched ball in the future was always fun!!) . . .one of my favorite non-sports games of the time, Whitman's Stock Market Game

I have to add Hot Corner Baseball to this list. Man that was fun, the guy would send you any team or player who ever played the game. I had a League made up of teams like the 1905 Giants, 1909 Pirates, 1910 A's, 1914 Braves, etc.....

I wish that game was still out there, I played StatisPro, Strato-Matic and SI, it blew them all away IMO.

The horse racing game that we used to have a blast with was called Stretch Run.

I played in a Strat-o-matic play by email baseball league for a while. Just gave it up last year in fact. I especially liked the old timers leagues - we had just ended the 1968 season when I hung it up.

SOM used to have tournaments around the country, which were a blast - I played in a few of those - weekend of SOM baseball with prizes for the tourney winners.

Strat-o-matic Football is a lot of fun as well, but it takes a bit more time to set up and play.

I also have statis-pro baseball, football and basketball collecting dust on my bookshelves. And Grand Slam Baseball by Sherco. These days I rarely play anything.

I remember playing a basketball board game, but can't remember the name of it. All I rememeber is that the board was similar to a Parchese game board. It was a lot of fun.

Along a different line from the sports sim, there was also the Superstar Wrestling game from the early 80's (which is up in my attic), the ROCKY game made by the same company, the original VHS football games and of course...those vibrating metal board football games where the players figures would just scatter all over when you turned it on. They were great at the time though.

Had to sponsor a shopping spree for my wife today that included the driving but I'm back on the job now. Should be able to spit out four matches tonight.

Bear, I noticed Yaqui was on your roster, and I am envious as I always liked him as fighter. I also thought he won his fight against Galindez.

This year I decided to go with a Canadian roster with the exception of Beaver Kajimoto.
