Sam Segraves

Outfielder Sam Segraves was with the 1942 Cleveland Buckeyes and Memphis Red Sox, and also with the 1943 Cincinnati Clowns. The photo is from the seamheads.com website.

I think this is the same player who showed up in the 1950's as a catcher with Indianapolis under the name Sam Seagraves. His photo was posted on this thread in September, 2014.

He was also a notable man in Camden, NJ. He started his police career there in 1944, and was the city's first African American motorcycle policeman. While I'm sure there was no ill intent, you might want to correct your spelling (in both the header and post). The lady's name was "Mamie". Doubling the "m" changes the sound of the "a" and the word becomes something at least potentially offensive. Just sayin'.
