5-2 last week, 12-3 in June, 36-33 .521 5 GB AA Central, 3½ GB AA WC.

Good week overall. We already tied our monthly high that we had in both April & May. We still have a lot of work today and that starts with trying to take over 2nd place in the Central from Cleveland.

We have a 3 games series @ Cleveland, an off day, then host the Lakers for 3.

I traded P Gerd Vlasblom, & minor league RP Dan Warren for a minor league C Hector Mendoza. I had to make room on the 40 and 25 for SP Mark Prior, who was signed to a ML deal. MGR Hardy named him our Ace, i can't argue with that. I hate losing a great reliever like Warren but we also needed some minor league C depth, especially with C Tim Patterson going down for 3+ weeks. All but one of my top picks have signed, the other elected to go to college. Chad Bradford, P/Cf Rick Ankiel or RP Lorenzo Barcelo could all play for us but most likely not until September.

Myself, Lawrence, Abate, Rutledge & Schultz all had a good week.

Only hitters that struggled this week were: myself, Brown, Thomas & Mason.

3-1 vs Rockers.

This is the battle for 2nd place in the Central. If we take 2 of 3, we are in 2nd place and our target becomes Milwaukee. if we lose, we start over again. Newly signed SP Mark Prior makes his ML debut vs Cleveland. The Rockers are all over the place for stats. AA best bullpen ERA, 10th for rotation, 4th in HR, 11th in OBP. They do well in SB & defense.

The Lakers are struggling this season but have some good young players and prospects coming up. Cf Carson Sullivan for now has yet to pitch for the Lakers but he should be a legit #3 and great 2 Way player in the near future. The Lakers have been playing well this month and we are 2-4 vs them.

Not a great week. lost 2 of 3 vs a subpar Lakers team, although we took 2 of 3 from 2nd place Rockers.

We host the Liberty for a quick 2 game series then go to Milwaukee for 4. So we could end the month in 1st still.

Myself, Lawrence, Prior, Abate, Campbell & Lewis all had a good week.

Brown, bin Kutaiba, Altott, Armstrong, Miller & Baines all had a good week.

We can sweep them and take over 1st place in the Central. They have several good left handed bats but they lack power. They do have a great rotation. They are a hard team to strike out and my staff is mostly flamethrowers.
