Apologies for having things bog down over the last couple of days. Been trying to catch up on a lot of stats compiling.
Barring a sudden reappearance of Scot (SAL), I plan on running the Divisional Playoffs in a couple of days. I am also working on putting together the candidate bios for the MVP, ROY and Comeback Fighter awards, as well as previews for the EOY Tournaments. |

Season 2: MVP Candidates - Gold Conference
Candidate #1
Heavyweight - Max Schmeling (Bonner Springs Bald Beavers) Season 2 Record: 19-1-0 (14) [16-0-0 (11) w/ Bald Beavers] Max Schmeling was acquired in an early season trade with the Brooks Battlers in exchange for Ike Ibeabuchi and draft picks. Now on a winning team, this former Heavyweight Champion now seems at home in the Gold Conference. This season, Schmeling had a 2-1-0 record in Title bouts and made 2 successful defenses before losing to Sam Langford. Max Schmeling heads into the HW EOY Tournament as the #2 Seed. SEASON 2 HIGHLIGHTS:

Candidate #2
Bantamweight - David Kui Kong Young (Undisputed Champions) Season 2 Record: 19-1-0 (17) David Kui Kong Young established himself as a leader on the playoff bound Undisputed Champions. He caputured the Bantamweight Title from Johnny King late in the season and his reign now consists of 5 successfull title defenses. The entire team was shocked by his unexpected first round KO loss to the much less talented Feliciano Dario Azuaga Ledezma. David Kui Kong Young heads into the BW EOY Tournament as the #1 Seed. Candidate #3
Bantamweight - Tim Austin (Chilton Roughnecks) Season 2 Record: 18-2-0 (14) Tim Austin surprisingly outperformed teammate Terry McGovern this season and leads the Chilton Roughnecks team into the playoffs. Season 2: MVP Candidates - Silver Conference
Candidate #4
Welterweight - Miguel Angel Cotto (Villebillies) Season 2 Record: 18-2-0 (13) It was Miguel Angel Cotto, not Alexis Arguello or even rookie sensation Roberto Duran who put together an outstanding performance this season for the lowly Villebillies. Cotto won his first 17 bouts before tasting defeat, but otherwise was a dominant force in the Welterweight division. He did not get a chance to fight for the Welterweight Title during the regular season. Miguel Angel Cotto heads into the WW EOY Tournament as the #5 Seed. SEASON 2 HIGHLIGHTS:

Season 2: MVP Candidates - Silver Conference
Candidate #5
Light Heavyweight - Harold Johnson (Juggernaut) Season 2 Record: 17-2-1 (6) Light-hitting Harold Johnson was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise disappointing season for Juggernaut. Johnson usually takes opponents deep into the pool - evidenced by 16 of his 20 fights reaching the 10 round or later. He has a solid chin and only 3 of his opponents were able to knock him off his feet all season. Johnson was not given the opportunity to fight for the Light Heavyweight title this season. Harold Johnson heads into the HW EOY Tournament as the #2 Seed. SEASON 2 HIGHLIGHTS:

Hey Dave,
Great writeups. I just wanted to mention 1 small error. In your writeup you mentioned Austin on my team. Maybe its a sign I should go get him

Thanks for taking over and keeping the wheels rolling forward. The stats are awesome as usual so you should give your brain a well deserved rest.
Quite a bit of work just running the league but running the show AND compiling the stats is a time consuming project and I just wanted you to know that we appreciate it! Peace bro.

Nice job Dave.
So, is this as it has been - we send you a top three ballot for our own conference?
