Jesse White
Illinois Representative Jesse White played professional baseball from 1959 to 1964 and in 1966. A Chicago Cubs farmhand for the duration of his career, White hit .291 with 982 hits in 859 games. He was fast, stealing over 129 bases in seven seasons. Perhaps his best season was 1961 with the Wenatchee Chiefs - that year, he hit .320 with 17 triples in 135 games.
Following his career as a player, he became a teacher and administrator in the Chicago school system. He assumed office as a representative in 1999 and is currently Illinois' Secretary of State. - bRef Bullpen Wiki Made the minor-leaguer fg for The_Game... |

Kim Ng
When her family moved to Ridgewood, N.J., Kim Ng - a baseball fan who fell in love with the Yanks of the late 70's - joined the high school softball team and continued her athletic pursuits on the diamond at the University of Chicago. She wrote her senior thesis on Title IX and graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in public policy – and MVP honors for her infielding work. An internship with the Chicago White Sox after graduation was the first stop in what would become a barrier-breaking baseball career.
It was the dawn of the “Moneyball” era, and Chicago was on the cutting edge. “Technology gave me a chance,” Ng said. “When I started with the White Sox, we were the first ones to use a program that could analyze pitches, track fly balls, stuff like that.” The White Sox hired her on full time, for $20,000 a year, and in the next six years she rose from operating the radar gun and entering scouting reports to presenting arbitration cases as the Assistant Director of Baseball Operations. From there she moved to the American League, serving as their Director of Waivers and Records for a year. She joined the Yankees in 1998, when Brian Cashman hired her as his assistant general manager. While Ng was at the helm, New York won back-to-back-to-back World Series titles during one of the most dominant stretches in the franchise’s storied history. She moved west in 2001, joining the Dodgers as vice president and assistant GM, a title she held for nearly a decade. - Baseball HOF story Today she is the Marlins GM. Very hard fg for me too, BaseballGOAT, and also my first try at a female facegen. She deserves better - or at least deserves to have her hair - but best I can do for now. I'll try to get to the others in the next couple of days after things slow a bit at my day job. Last edited by LansdowneSt; 03-21-2022 at 05:21 PM. |

Rachel Folden
Rachel Folden wore a Cubs sweatshirt Saturday with a tremendous amount of pride — albeit with a slight pause — after being named one of the first female coaches of a minor-league staff. “Honestly, I think it should have happened a while ago,” said Folden, who will become the lead hitting lab tech and fourth coach for the Cubs’ Arizona Rookie League team in Mesa. “I’m happy to be one of the first.”
Folden is part of a major reconstruction in the Cubs’ hitting department, now headed by Justin Stone, with a larger emphasis on technology and data. Stone, who joined the Cubs as a consultant in the middle of the 2018 season and operates Elite Baseball Training, hired Folden as a consultant several years ago and kept her in mind when interviewing with several teams before accepting his new position with the Cubs. “If (Folden) were a guy … she would already be a big-league hitting coach,” Stone said Saturday before speaking at a hitting clinic at UIC, hosted by Angels assistant hitting coach and former Cubs hitting coach John Mallee. “That’s how good she is.” - Chicago Tribune Did my best for her facegen... Her height in my fg is 5'5" which was her playing weight in the varies leagues that still have rosters up. For weight I put 150lbs since I needed something to make the fg work. If you find an accurate weight, note that it will change the fg to add or lower weight. Last edited by LansdowneSt; 03-23-2022 at 09:08 PM. Reason: added attribution to the Tribune |

Rachel Balkovec
There's a glass ceiling in baseball that women have been shattering for a few years now. Among those making moves is Rachel Balkovec, who just became the first woman manager of the Tampa Tarpons and the first woman ever to reach that level. "It's a privilege to be at the front of something. And you know, there's a lot of pressure. There's a lot of other things that come with that that aren't really desirable. But I signed up for it, and I'm not going to shy away," Balkovec said. "It was wildly important for me to have visible ideas of what was possible when I was coming up. And so for me to do that for somebody else is an honor, and it's a responsibility that I'm happy to have."
Balkovec is no stranger to breaking boundaries in Major League Baseball. In 2019, she was named hitting instructor for the Tarpons, which is a minor league team affiliated with the New York Yankees. But making those moves and history did not come without challenges. At one point, Balkovec said she changed her name from "Rachel" to "Ray" on her resumes when she wasn't getting calls back because she is a woman. "I was so desperate that I thought, well, maybe if I get an interview, I'll just prove wrong and they'll love me," Balkovec said. "That just shows the level of desperation that I was in just to get a look – like literally just to get a phone call. And my resume was phenomenal at the time for a young coach, and I just was not getting anything." - NPR Gave the facegen a try... She's at 175cm and 176lbs if making her. As a coach, she has listed stats. Last edited by LansdowneSt; 03-23-2022 at 09:22 PM. Reason: added height and weight info |

Malcom Nunez
From Fangraphs (which I hope everyone is a member supporting):
Nunez became famous back in 2018 when he posted a god-like .415/.497/.774 line with 31 extra-base hits in 44 DSL games. He was bigger and stronger than most of the kids down there, so the industry was ultra-skeptical of that line. After a little time in Florida (two months after he turned 18), St. Louis sent him to Low-A to stress test the bat. Nunez flopped and was demoted to the Appy League later in the summer. He’s a big-bodied, projectionless, 1B/DH prospect who needs to mash all the way up the ladder. Redid the facegen for this Cards prospect. |

Lou Johnson, (johnsolo01 or minors johnso002lou) needs a facegen, not this generic one. Lou Johnson was African-American.
EDIT* Nevermind, the facegen is under as johnso001lou, different than player ID Last edited by percolaten; 03-24-2022 at 10:22 PM. |

Cody Thomas
When Cody Thomas was promoted to Double-A by the Los Angeles Dodgers, he received a warm welcome in one of his former homes. Thomas was a multisport athlete at OU from 2013-2016, playing football as a quarterback and baseball as an outfielder. While there, Thomas developed a special connection with Sooners fans, who have kept a close eye on his minor league career since he was drafted in 2016.
Being just a two-hour drive from Norman, almost every Tulsa home game was filled with OU supporters who turned out in droves to see the former Sooner. Thomas gave them their money’s worth, hitting a career-high 23 home runs and 76 RBIs to earn a spot in the Texas League All-Star Game. He was traded to Oakland in a deal involving former OU teammate Sheldon Neuse on February 12. Thomas’ impact with Oakland’s Triple-A Aviators has been immediate, as he ranks top-three on the team with 20 doubles, 18 home runs, 52 RBIs, a .289 batting average and a .665 slugging percentage this season. Currently, he’s ranked as Oakland’s No. 21 prospect by MLB.com. - oudaily.com Goodness, that's not a good "before" facegen. You undersold it, BaseballGOAT. Here's one based on his Dodger prospect days. |

Claudio Finol
Claudio Finol was a low-profile signing by the Reds out of Venezuela. He seems to have settled in quickly as a utility infielder. At second, at least, he’s been a reliable defender. He hit for average his first two years, which got him to full season ball relatively quickly. He hasn’t shown any power or speed, though, and struggled when he got to full season ball. The Pirates acquired him in the minor league phase of the Rule 5 draft. Finol so far looks like a lower-level organizational player. - prospects.pittsburghbaseball.com
So, I'm going to assume that Pittsburgh for some particular year only had headshots with extreme shadows on the faces because these "before" pics all have the same issue. Redid the facegen, as requested. I bumped his weight up to his listed 171lbs in the fg screenshot. He might be gaunter at the old 150lbs he came in as when first appearing in the game as a younger prospect. |

Francisco Acuna
Francisco Acuna is a small shortstop who signed for a modest bonus out of Colombia. Before he ever played in the Pirates’ system, he held his own against older players as a 16-year-old in winter ball in his native country. He could ultimately need to move to second due to his arm. - prospects.pittsburghbaseball.com
Ronald Acuña has two brothers in the minors, but Francisco isn't one of them. I hope the Pirates are not too disappointed by this news Redid the facegen as requested. Not perfect but there was only one good picture to work with. Better than before though.
