One of the greatest hitters ever - 3630 hits, 1815 at home and 1815 on the road, Stanislaw Franciszek Musial, better known as
Stan "the man" Musial

Ryan Howard and Johnny Callison. With all the great throwing arms in the outfield at that time, Callison was right up there with them.
Mays, Colavito, Yaz, Clemente and a young Willie Stargell etc |

Today we present you Joe Orsulak on a shiverworthy baseball card – although the quality of the graphic effects is about on a level with the quality of Joe Orsulak’s mid-90s Mets. Brr.

Wally Backman. Why he isn't a manager yet, i have no idea. Steve Garvey The women loved him back in the day. Don't know about now though.

BusterKing; Detroit Tigers legend Al Kaline
My first bat was an Al Kaline model. My favorite bat. It had a thicker handle and a little fatter barrel. I loved that thing. Also, Pockets, glad you liked the pic. Just wish it wasn't grainy, but maybe that adds to it. I remember some of us called him Johnny Six. Last edited by zappa1; 03-20-2021 at 11:32 AM. |

Nothing against Ed Charles, but the last time the Glider wore a major league uniform in anger, the Mets won their first ever ring. His career ending was quite the good luck charm there…! And #5 would be a good number for third basemen going forwards for the Metsies, too.
