I really enjoy listening to you and Sporer talk baseball. I think what really makes it resonate with me is when y'all can take what you're talking about and merge it with OOTP. For example, in the most recent episode, you could hear the excitement in Sporer's voice when he mentioned a possibility of relegation in MLB and his winter plans for OOTP.

Great stuff and hope y'all talk again at the start of the playoffs!

I DO NOT like the idea of relegation in MLB. If it were up to me, I'd expand to 32 teams, four divisions of 4 teams, no wild-cards.

I predict the Phillies will win the World Series in 6. The Phillies are like the 2003 Florida Marlins to me. Both teams fired their manager in late spring, brought in an interim manager not expected to be there beyond the season, they go on this incredible run to the World Series and now the Phillies are 3 wins away from a championship.

Philadelphia has this magic going for them right now and that win last night, coming back from being five runs down has to be deflating to the Houston Astros. I predict Houston will come back tonight to even the Series before it heads back to Philadelphia. Believe me, those Phillies fans will be coming out in full force to taunt the Astros. Expect there to be trash cans being banged along with signs saying "cheaters", "the Houston Asterisks", etc. Not surprising, but those things can play into the psyche of players and get into their heads. They're going to try and rattle the opposition.

I tip my cap to Houston. They earned it this time. But give Philadelphia some credit. Nobody expected them to be playing in the World Series, let alone in Game 6.
