Elimination number for third place is six against us, with nine games left on our schedule and eleven on theirs, if my math is correct here. We split a doubleheader with the Pirates, so don't ultimately gain ground on them. Of course, that means the elimination number to lock in third place for them is now three. That's not good for us, if we want to get third, obviously. But as far as the Phillies go in terms of their chances at fourth place, their elimination number against them is also three. Fourth is our most likely placement here this season. That is all. CD out.

Another day, another loss, rain-shortened as it may be. We're locked into fourth, and the Pirates in third, and the Phillies in fifth. We'll at least finish over .500, but I think we could perhaps have taken at least 10 more victories this year, had our key players not missed significant amounts of playing time during it.

1935's season isn't too far away, so let's see if we can't get some really good young players on our rosters to build the nest for the coming years, folks. Our top two teams should be able to give us quite a few good players in the next few years, at most, I think.

Talk more later, after the regular season is over. Cubs and Giants still haven't decided the NL champion yet, however. Will keep you posted. CD out.

Cardinals are done for the year as of September 30th, and we close out the year with a record of 80-74, fortunately. Too bad we had quite a few missed games by our key players this year, or we might perhaps have had at least 90 wins this year, I think. Grandpa gets his last save of the year, and the 40th of his professional career, by the way.

However, the Cubs and Giants are not yet done. They will have to play at least once more, to decide the NL winner who will face the Yankees in the World Series, most likely in Wrigley, if I'm not too mistaken here. I hope the defending world champion Giants win, of course. That is all. CD out.

The World Series will be an all-New York affair. After 154 games, the Cubs and Giants were tied with records of 92-62. Therefore, instead of having a one-game playoff to settle things, I scheduled two more games, one in Wrigley, and one in the Polo Grounds. New York won both of them.

IF they had split, I would have scheduled one more game in Wrigley to determine the NL champion. But that became unnecessary once New York had won both games.

Games 1 and 2 of the World Series will be in Yankee Stadium, while games 3 and 4, at least, will be in the Polo Grounds. If later games are necessary, game 5 will be in the Polo Grounds, and games 6 and/or 7 will be in Yankee Stadium. That is all for now. CD out.
