Clay Holmes pitched into the 7th as he and Adam Liberatore combined to shut out the Rays, 8-0.

Ty Ross homered in his first major league at-bat. Pablo Sandoval also homered.

Cliff Pennington's grand slam in the 1st helped give the Jays a 5-0 lead early but they really had to fight to hold on to the game. In the end they squeaked out an 8-7 victory over the Cubs.

Rafael Devers also homered.

This was not Toronto's finest game. They lost to the Cubs, 13-0.

They managed only four hits.

This was a wild game, with ejections, swings, big home runs, an da walkout blast by Javier Baez to give the Cubs an 8-7, 11 inning win.

The Jays saw homers from Marcell Ozuna and Wendell Rijo. Jordan Paroubeck drove in four runs.

Rafael Devers was ejected inter first after charging Adalberto Mejia after being plunked.

Ian Kennedy, in his first game off the D.L., left the game with a sore elbow.

For the bigs it was Carlos Correa, Astros & Jorge Soler, Cubs

The Jays slipped a spot to #24 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Ian Kennedy has a torn UCL. That will shelve him for the better part of a year.

Marcos Molina is called up from AAA.

The Jays kept battling but the see-saw game tattered in Tampa's direction at the right time, sending Toronto to a 9-8 loss.
