#10 Jeffery Lage
Projected Stats: Low-A: 250 ABs, .240/.330/.410, 7 HRs, 45 RBIs, 5 SB Lage and "Dago Red" are basically in the same boat. Jeffery is more versitile, so he should have a better chance at making the show. His skills are developed enough for him to play AA, but it looks like he's stuck as a backup. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start for at least part of the season. Failing that, he'll get a decent number of at-bats at Centerfield, Shortstop, and 2nd Base as a minor league utilityman. If I had to guess, I'd say that Lage will make the show, but he'll be a backup. ETA: 2018 #11 Eric Scott "The Montross" Montross Projected Stats: Low-A: 15 GS, 7-8, 4.15 ERA, 80 SO The Montross and Dago Red are just about tied. The Montross has a better chance to be a regular in the majors while Dago Red has the better chance to make it on a major league roster. Still, Eric Scott Montross has to improve his control to make the bigs. Even then, he's likely a bullpen piece. "The Montross" needs to play well this year. Failing to put up strong numbers repeating Low-A likely will indicate his extinction. ETA: 2020 #12 Damien "Dago Red" Rosetto Projected Stats: Low-A 100 ABs .260/.320/.340, 3 HR, 30 RBI Dago Red has two big strengths. First, he consistently makes contact. Second, he plays above-average defense. He's going to be a backup in his first season in Low-A. Damien should hold his own in limited time. It's hard to see him consistently improving to the point where he's a starter. His well-rounded set of skills should put Damien on the 40-man during the next few years. ETA: 2018

Holler at me if you want to get a trade!
After this season, I'm introducing the offer to retire and become a coach, more on this later. Sim starting Saturday or Friday.

RF Barry Bums, Cleveland (ML)
August 1st, 2016 ![]() Bums has been impressive so far in the somewhat limited time he's spent so far. He seems to be slumping a bit as of recent, we'll see if Bums can hold onto his starting spot.

C Crash Davis, Cleveland (ML)
![]() Davis has been solid, but unspectacular, during his first full ML season. Cleveland is a game out of the division lead. Crash is the key to Cleveland's postseason gambit.

Timmy Hawk, SS (White Sox)
![]() Hawk is playing well. He seems to be adjusting to life at Shortstop. Hawk is fielding the position at an improving, league-average level.

SP Dean Buddy Caufield, AA Tulsa
![]() Caufield is living up to expectations so far. He seems to be improving in AA. We'll see how this campaign bares for a promotion.

C Damien Rosetto A Augusta (Giants A)
![]() ![]() Not as disappointing season as it appears for Rosetto. He is able to get on base and has been driving in runs. Dago Red is getting a decent amount of chances for a backup.

SS Deepak Khabra, A Fort Myers (Twins A)
![]() Deepak is having a disappointing season in double AA. First, he was just losing starts, which wasn't bad, then he was demoted back to single-A baseball. Has Khabra peaked in AA ball?

SP Eric Scott Montross, A Visalia (Dbacks A)
![]() The Montross has done well in his last season at South Bend. He's struggled in limited time at High-A Visalia. Eric is beginning to turn things around on the mound. Patience, young Montross.

CF Jeffery Lage, A Savannah (NY Mets)
![]() Lage's season has been bittersweet. He enjoyed a brief stint at Saint Lucie. Lage is hitting for power as a sand gnat but little else. This season has been a step back for the young rookie.

1B Mike Hegstrand, A Carolina (A Cleveland)
![]() Mike has been impressive at both Low A and High A. Mullet's average slumped in High A yet he still clubbed for power. Mike Hegstrand should be near his phone for promotion if this continues.

Scott "Strawberry" Fields is packing his bags again. He's been with three organizations so far in his career. He's headed cross-coast to San Francisco.
![]() The Giants, The Mets, and The Yankees. Now all he needs are the trolly-dodgers to serve with all four prominent New York Baseball Clubs. SP Strawberry Fields, San Jose Giants (Giants A) ![]() So far, Strawberry's season has gone sour. Maybe the California sunshine can get Fields back to production. Scott is one of the few prospects listed who can afford to struggle in 2016. Repeating High-A gives Scott the leisure to work on his control issues.

MR Rusty Priske, Lakewood Blue Claws
![]() Priske was quickly called up to Lakewood where he continued to befuddle hitters. "The Poet" seems to have a surprising ending in store for his book. He's keeping the hitters in Low-A guessing, that's for sure.

1B Shaun Cameron, AA Jacksonville Suns (Miami AA)
![]() Yes, Miami decided that Cameron should start in Jacksonsville. He seems to be replicating a similar stat line at every level. Dude can draw walks, that's for sure, and he can drive in runs as well. Still not sold on him as a first-baseman.

RF Barry Bums, Cleveland (ML)
2016 Actuals ![]() The Cleveland slugger had a great first half of the season rewarded with... a benching after Roster expansion. He's fallen out of favor with Cleveland since the trade at the start of last year. Bums deserves a starting role with his power as being a bench player is starting to erode his skills. Barry needs to play every day.

C Crash Davis, Cleveland (ML)
2016 Actuals ![]() Crash swung a hot bat in the second half of the season to propel his team to a playoff berth. His newfound power numbers are impressive, but his ability to hit for average is starting to come around. Davis is a franchise player who should continue to dominate for years to come.

Timmy Hawk, SS White Sox (ML)
2016 Actuals ![]() The move to short seems to have worked well for the White Sox. Timmy has embraced the position as a + defender and should only improve as he continues along his career path. He still has trouble seeing the ball but Timmy should improve given time.

SP Buddy Caufield, AA Tulsa (Colorado AA)
![]() Caufield lived up to expectations this season. Played above his head during his first attempt at AA Ball. It's a big jump and Dean handled it well. I was surprised Dean's season didn't lead to a jump in his ratings. Dean produced this season at a high level and is on track to make a major league roster.

Shaun Cameron, AA Jacksonville (Miami AA)
![]() Disappointing news for Shaun Cameron fans... spend most of his season at AA. All in all, not a bad season for Shaun. Expected him to hit for a bit higher average in AA. He might still be a year away from the majors at this point, but Shaun should still be an All-Star.
