Raidergoo was serious. Player faces change according to age and BMI. So, if you edit a player to make them 20 yrs older and 30 pounds heavier, their face will change accordingly.

There is no "cartoon" slider, so you're pretty much stuck there.

Players will stop aging (from a face perspective) when they retired.

Good. I prefer this to some of the macabre suggestions of others concerning portrayal of old age and death.

I will look at this as "the last photo on file" at league headquarters.

Status: Retired. Current whereabouts unknown.

So do they age as coaches or not?

I don't think so, at least the parameters are hardcoded by now, the only facegen option that you have (apart from the templates for jerseys, caps, logos etc) is the level of zoom, so you can choose a close up pic with just the face and cap or two other views with less zoom where you can see a bigger part of the jersey.

But... how cool would it be to watch a guy die and then start to decay...

Did we ever get an answer to the question of how "very old" players will look?

If I run a sim for 100 years what will the pictures of the first-year players look like?

I don't want all my Hall of Famers to look like Strom Thurmond.

EDIT - already answered. Thanks!

Then we could just sit there watching the worm simulator create worms that eat the flesh, and we can complain that particular worms don't eat at the particular rate being shown and cry out for better realism.

Yes. Sorry if that was unclear.

I believe there's some discussion of retired players appearing, esp in the Hall of Fame, as they did in their prime, or some such, instead of pictures of decrepit old Ted Williams. Not sure what happened with that, though.

Can we get that checked upon? I know it's probably unreasonable to ask that snapshots getting taken of all players, but if the game can age photos, can that process be reversed? So then maybe players who make the Hall of Fame can have an appropriately aged image of them in the early 30's.

Dang. Too bad there couldn't at least be a .cfg file of sorts that allowed you to modify min/max values for each parameter (and then the game choosing random values in between min/max during generations).

As far as guys dying...hehe...it would be kinda cool that when someone died, their profile picture would change to a B&W pic of him in his prime.

I am simply floored by this. I swore I wouldn't get caught up in the hype, but it's becoming harder and harder all the time.

If death was added (sans death pictures) we could have aging until death. Then when someone dies the last picture of them would be the one that remained. Also, if we had death (mainly for Hall of Famers) we could have news stories celebrating their life and career.

I think if death were added, it would have to be optional to address the sensitivities of some people to the topic. Also, there would be issues of injury-death, like getting killed by a beanball to the head or something.
