Don't be fooled ...
... by the Barbarians' gaudy stats. The two wins were against expansion teams and the losses were by one and six points to established teams. Despite leading the division, they may well have reverted to form ...

Why do I sense Chris made another trade?
![]() Let me take a stab at this one! With a little help from some insider info being I either offered or was offered a trade involving some of the participants. Chris is giving up Carpentier & Shields, Boardman FOR Gatti,Turpin and something else Last edited by jbergey22; 12-06-2006 at 10:54 PM. |

He tried to set up a Douglas/Boardman for Quarry/Rolfodo deal with me but I didn't want to give up Quarry for Douglas. I tried to swipe Carpentier/Frissana for Jhonny/Rolfodo but he didn't bite on that. Also, someone owns me and SAL some cash on our preseason bets that Chris would dump a portion of his roster before the midway point.

Thanks for entertaining all the offers folks.
I think that I improved at HW and FLY. WW got better long-term and I dropped a LHW five-rated fighter that rarely won for a LHW two-rated fighter that won't win. A quick mid-season correction. We'll see if it all gets me closer to Icetea. Christopher

WHOA! Holy Cow guys! I cant wait until next year when I can use the waivers..lol. Seems like everyone got a little better in those trades. Anyway,I was looking over some of the UTBA individual champions and some of the top contenders and here is some matchups that would be interesting. This is not the no. 1 contenders per se..just some fights that I would like to see in the UTBA.
HW Norton vs Ibeabuchi or Shavers(selfish pick..lol) LHW Prince Charles Williams vs Bob Foster (this would be a good one) MW Mickey Walker(what a record)vs Basilio or Zale LW Carlos Ortiz vs Alexis Arguello (Arguello has always been a fave of mine) FW Enrique Sanchez vs Fenech or Griffo BW Caldwell vs Chandler (I guess Caldwell is the Cinderella man of UTBA) FLY Darchinyan vs Arce (Ready for this one in real life) What are some fights that you guys would like to see? One more question: Since the start of UTBA,if you had to name one fighter as the MVP...who would it be? Just for fun.

Okay, I don't want you guys to think Chris left me out of the action either.
![]() But I wouldn't bite - kindda hard to make a trade with the team currently performing well. |

He gave me a tempting offer as well, but I'm sticking with my squad at the moment.

Did he email you guys 57 times asking for a fighter that you have told him 56 times is untradeable? I'd say no means no but he eventually got one of the 3 guys he wanted from me.
