I'm going to go celebrate Vandy's huge halftime lead with a Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendy's.

OK.

nbadraft.net says Law's best comp is Chauncey Billups. I don't get that impression when I think of the two, though...

GW is being utterly pieced. Ugly, ugly game. Vandy is 10 of 18 from the arc. And Kansas State sits in the NIT.

I guess I could see Law being a Billups-lite. Billups has really turned into a good shooter though so Law will have to improve in that area. They are both sort of combo guards that will mainly play the PG position.

If I thought about it more I'm sure I could come up with a better comparison than Duhon.

I haven't missed yet in my bracket but I have GW in the sweet 16...that doesn't look like it is going to work out.

I did another bracket using Pomeroy's ratings, log5 and creating random numbers to create outcomes. That bracket is about to go 8/8.

So much for this theory.

4-4 for the 1st half of the day.

A nice little 8-0 run to end the night would be cool.

So far all I've missed is the ODU/Butler game. So much for THAT 12-5 upset.

I had 7/7, but Vandy ruined my perfection.

I usually love to roll the dice on potential upsets, but I played it safe this time around. Kind of silly, I suppose, since I won my Facebook pool last year on the strength of picking George Mason into my Final Four.

Nobody gave me that kind of feeling this year. Which means my bracket will be busted fairly early.

Wait, you won facebook's $10,000 first place prize or whatever it was? Or was it for your school?

No, no, no...the pool I was playing in. I won that. I can't remember where I finished in my school's overall rankings. Not first. I did OK, though. Top 50, I think. There were a lot of busted brackets in my group pool and I rode to the top strictly on the Mason run -- which nobody else had pegged. Otherwise, my bracket - despite a few nice upsets - was unexceptional.

Ah. Yeah, if you peg the final four it really doesn't matter what happens in the early rounds. The only way you need these early rounds is if you have UNC/Florida in the final, which I'm sure thousands do.

I think all the George Mason kids on facebook finished in the top 100
