I have both. I have the '1' rated fighter with the 9HP you were speaking of. I will make sure that you sign the "1" rated Courage to the contract.

Click on the Options Tab from the main screen, then click Import/Export & then select Export fighter database to HTML.
It will take a little bit for this to generate a list (5 to 10 minutes) depending on the size of your db. This may not be what you're looking for but it will only give you the fighter's name, nationality & career dates.

Once the list is generated, you'll see two links to click on, Men or Women. Pick the one you want and it will show a screen listed by weight classes. Pick your weight class and then your list of fighters for that weight will be there and can be printed from there.

Hope I made sense.

Wonderful, this is exactly what I have been looking for. If I can get this to work, I believe that I may be able to post or send a complete list of active fighters in the universe to each owner so that each of you can scout ahead of time. I will have to experiment with this.

Thanks

The HTML report I stated will produce a list from db that is currently open. If you want to cut down on the number of papers to be printed and filter out fighters not active, create a separate db that duplicates the one you are going to run the universe from but delete all fighters that are not active in the copy db and when the HTML list is created, it won't need to be edited before printing. It seems like a waste just to have a db for printing purposes, but I have not found any other way around it yet.

Thanks again. I have already started a new db for the upcoming uni. I have started the random selection process in the U.S. and exported to that db. I am currently filling out the countries (random selection plus extra tomato cans and some newly rated fighters that I am asking John to rate in his thread) that have promotional fighters such as Cuba, Canada, Ireland, Germany and Australia, etc. After I get all the fighters ready from those countries, I will export them to the new db. After all that is done, I will try to generate the lists.

Draft Board

Each promotional/management group will be given 25 points to use to select their 3 boxers during the initial draft. Each point is the equal value of a boxer's ranking. For example: George Foreman is a "12" rated fighter, so a promotional/management team would have to use 12 out of its 25 allocated points to select him, leaving only 13 points available to draft the next two boxers.

Just thought of this idea while going through my database - each promoter/managerial team may choose the fighter file of the particular boxer that they want to draft and manage. For example: Matt Skelton has files ranging from '"6-9" in ratings. You can choose how many points you want to use on him. This allows for some flexability while drafting. Maybe you want to draft Vitali Klitschko, but you do not want to spend the 12 points on him because it would severely hamper your ability to draft any other highly ranked boxers. Maybe you feel like taking a chance and believe that a "10" rated Vitali could get into the rankings as well as the "12" and have a chance to win a world title. This will allow each stable to make more decisions and will allow some flexability in drafting fighters.

All unused points remaining from the draft are "bankable" and can be used to acquire more fighters in the future. All stables MUST draft three fighters in the initial draft and cannot save points by only drafting two fighters. Stables will acquire points by meeting universe requirements that will be posted on the Universe Information page in the future as they are drafted. Examples would be points for winning Regional/World Titles, wins versus Top 10 opponents, Title Defenses, etc.

Question - I have him listed under two countries, Ireland & Northern Ireland(UK) so which one is proper and which one do you want to fly the flag under?

Also, hope that picture of Danny isn't a sign of things to come!

Got the email this morning Bear, thank you. Haven't had the chance to look at it yet, but feeling like a kid in a candy shop, cant wait to unzip the file. Just got home from work and need to get some sleep so that I can wake up and watch the fight before I go back to work tonight.

Looks like we will probably have the draft done by the end of the weekend. Once all the picks are in and the stables are completed, I am going to finish cleaning up and populating all the regions (specifically where there is a promotional fighter involved). I have been adding more tomato cans (quickly generated and not tested), and mid-level fighters that I have asked John Dewey to rate in his thread (have added over 1,000 fighters in less than a week). I will start the random selection of the 25% of the fighters that I am going to put in the universe, will run the two years (1978, 1979) and then will start to post the lists. Still thinking about the point system. And I like the idea of adding extra time off for knockdowns in a fight from the management thread by aaaaaaaaaa. I will post a list of the fictional fighters that were randomly chosen. I am also working with SAL/Scot, on a way to possibly make the scouting process a lot easier by generating a complete list of the universe or sending each of you the dat.files for the running universe. We will see on the last part. Any other suggestions? I want to make this as enjoyable as possible so that there is continued, competitive interaction without getting so complicated that I struggle to maintain an organized, properly running universe. It seems to me that most of us are pretty much the same person (type A personalities, that enjoy statistical games, the accounting of the stats, organization and the actual details of the preparation). I think most of us have huge databases that we are always trying to clean up and prepare for the start of a universe. We probably spend more time getting everything ready then actually playing the sim!

I'm working on my planned Bubble uni. Started prep work at the beginning of the year with the letter A. 2 1/2 months and I'm almost up to names beginning with Br. Picking out which file I'm using and making sure that there is one copy of each fighter file with the update from data base selected. Finding some ratings I don't agree with and putting them in a rerate group. Adding appropriate groups to the fighters. Changing the sex of the selected file of the women to male so that each fighter can fight one another. When I finish the letter B I'll start posting TC creations.

Will Arum give refunds?

Clottey took the 15 minutes of fame, money, secured his family's future and ran. What a terrible championship fight, reminded me of a HW fight with a Klitschko and (insert) one of the lastest challengers that just sit there and try to last the 12 rounds. Like Brewster, Thompson, etc. Unimaginable for a lighter weight division! Did you guys hear Lampley saying "Bang, Bang" over and over because he was so bored and was trying to draw some interest or laughs? And how about the double fisted, punch by Pac? Even he had to do something to keep himself interested, I was just laughing at that!
