It has been (and will continue to be) interesting to see how Jimmy Wilde progresses in your universe.....(he's already learning how to overcome adversity / cuts).
And I won't be able to help but to root for old Digger! If he ever does earn that title shot. Hopefully his Mgmt keeps the TC's coming......(maybe one step up fight during his streak here). |

Talk about some bad luck
Bill Curran (12-12) just defeated a TC. He is at pre-prime so everytime he is scheduled to fight he has a 50% chance of fighting a TC.
Before this win he had lost 8 straight and not once had he been matched up against a TC. During the streak he lost to John Dwyer (8 rated) Jack Johnson (12) Peter Courtney (7) Billy Woods (1) Sailor Burke (5) Jack O'Brien (10) John L. Sullivan (10) Jim Flynn (2) Pretty sure someone needs to fire his manager! |

LHW's for September 1912
27 of 71 main division fighters are in action this month with 3 facing TC's. They went 2-1 against them.
13 of the 31 club fighters are in action with 7 facing TC's. They went 7-0 against them. Title Fight IBF Charles McCoy (35-10-3) vs. #16 Bob Fitzsimmons (40-5) (by TKO5 in 12/08, KO5 12/07, by TKO14 06/03) Fitzsimmons was forced back to 100 pp when he came back from retirement, that rule has since been banished. He is getting this opportunity because of the WBA title tourney which knocked out 8 top ranked fighters from being eligible for this shot Four other fights are on the fight cards WBA Title Tourney 1. Jack Dillon (26-1) vs. #8 Alfred Kearns (15-1-3) (pre) (Oct.) 4. Georges Carpentier (24-4) vs. #5 Bob McAllister (20-3) (Oct.) 2. Fred Russell (22-9) vs. #7 John Wille (22-6-1) (sept) 3. Frank Girton (15-2) vs. #6 Leo Houck (29-12-3) (sept.) Tough top half of the bracket. |

Carpentier/McAllister should be a hell of a fight. That bracket is pretty lopsided, I think it's safe to say that the winner is coming out of the top half.

Yeah Houck is the only one who has a shot and he hasn't performed well in big fights.
There will be a WBO tourney at Middleweight also. |

Yeah, Dillon has to be the favorite in the tournament. I'm going to be rooting for McAllister to take the belt though.

Yeah I see Dillon winning it also.
In the MW division both Ketchel and Klaus are scheduled to fight this month, with 8 top ranked guys involved in the WBO tourney I may force a unification bout between the two. They have a 25% chance of it happening but if it doesn't and they both don't have a top 20 opponent, I will force it. |

MW's for September 1912
35 of 106 main division fighters are in action with 7 facing TC's. They went 7-0 against them.
13 of the 21 club fighters are in action with 5 facing TC's. They went 5-0 against them. Title Fights WBA/C - Stanley Ketchel (WBC) (33-8) vs. Frank Klaus (WBA) (26-6-1) (Klaus won by KO8 in 3/10) (Unification bout) An amazing 11 other fights on the fight cards. Undefeated fighters and fighters rated above 8 make the cards, so some top MW's are in action this month, including 3 first round bouts in the WBO title tourney Tourney 1. Billy Papke (26-5) vs. #8 Jimmy Murray (17-4-1) 4. William Sheriff (16-0) (pre) vs. #5 Eddie McGoorty (27-4-1) (Sheriff's CBU title will not be on the line) 2. Jack Fogarty (22-4-1) vs. #7 George Chip (17-2-1) (pre) 3. Jeff Clarke (21-3) vs. #6 Young Mitchell (19-1) Clarke vs. Mitchell should be a good one. I expect to see a Mitchell-Papke title match. All bouts except Fogarty vs. Chip will be in September. |

LW unification bout
Young Griffo (39-8-7) will put his WBC and IBF titles on the line against WBO champ Jack McAuliffe (43-7-2). This will unify 3 out of the 4 titles. With Abe Attell holding the WBA title.
McAuliffe is post prime but has a 20% chance of coming into the fight in prime condition. This is their first meeting. Griffo is 6-0-1 at LW. Last edited by mh2365; 12-03-2007 at 03:37 PM. |
