This will show you team stats for each MLB season... the late 1930s had high team BAs... .289 was the best ever in 1936.

The teams hit for high average, scored a lot of runs... but it was only the Yankees that hit a lot of homers.
Click on 1936 and you will see the stats of each AL teams... choose NL at the top of the screen and you will be able to see the National League stats.

Looks like there were a lot of high-scoring games in the 1930s decade.

I personally like games with lots of runs... I kind of like my South Island Leagues because they score runs, hit for higher BAs and make more errors like semi-pro teams did.

I wish I had chosen 1936 for the year for my South Island League... they scored a lot of runs and made a lot of errors in that decade... I chose 1955 instead... which has worked out pretty good.

Thanks EC. I'll research that link. I probably will use modifiers from the 1990s and 2000s, as you mentioned that is what I like best.

I think it would be wise to start my IPA again from scratch - with more realistic statistical outputs. People would like tend to like it a lot better. I can see how the inflated stats are a turn-off to most. And it will be better for me if the Yankees, Red Sox and Mets were not a part of it. I wouldn't have the urge to help out any team. League histories would then be much more fair. I won't create any players either and change ratings - I can change names of players to my liking, however.

To be perfectly honest, the best years of my IPA were in the first 25 seasons, where I didn't try to help anybody win, I didn't create any players, only division winners made the playoffs, and stats were much more realistic. The IPA Gods determined what happened, not me. Those years were the most fun. And there is definitely something special about having only the division winners in the postseason. It makes the playoffs feel more special, and the IPA Pro Cup extra special, like how the World Series used to be.

So I look forward to a return of what I intended my IPA to be all along, before I started experimenting with it. I miss the storylines of my IPA in the old days, how teams like Colfax, Cape Coral and Oxford were perennial division champions, but they all seemed to mostly struggle in the playoffs, although they each won 3 Pro Cups in the early years of the league. Cold Creek got off to a quick start, winning 3 pennants and 2 Pro Cups in the first decade, only to fade away and become a bottom dweller. Then teams like Southport and Valka came out of nowhere to establish two of the best dynasties that I ever saw in my IPA, only to fade away into oblivion again after those spectacular runs.

Another plus about starting the IPA over again will be that right now, my career and league leaderboards are messed up because of all the statistical experimenting that I did. Someone hit 224 home runs in one season, obviously that won't happen again. So by not adjusting modifiers there will be legitimate records standing, and it will be special if someone sets a new high mark.

Okay, then let's go back to 1901 or even 1871, and see what would happen if the Freemans and others were created as originally planned and as proposed, with realistic ratings, et cetera, with related things starting from the very first generation I had in mind for them and their potential rivals, for instance. I think with the proposed profiles I've submitted in the past for various players, or would potentially submit, their statistics wouldn't be out of whack compared to other players, or at least not much, if at all, either for good or for bad, jg2977. If you start around 1871, that will allow Henry Freeman and his potential rivals to perhaps participate in your IPA. Then the generation after that could allow GC and his brothers, along with their rivals, to play in it as well, and so on and so forth, through the generations, I think, jg2977. CD out.

I don't think Henry's brother would be a potential player in your IPA, but maybe members of Henry's wife's family could perhaps also play in your IPA, for instance. I'd have to check to see what I would have in terms of notes related at least to the maternal side of Gordon and Arthyr and Duncan and Elijah's family, of course, first, before I could be more specific here, for sure. If not also the paternal side of their family, come to think of it.

Save your players for my 2nd league that will be promotion/relegation. I'm not planning on having any created players in my new IPA. They will all be fictional.

For my promotion/relegation league, they will be the expansion teams from my original IPA, minus the two New Yerby teams. That will be 14. I'm planning on having 24, so I'll add 10 other fictional teams.

I'd really like it if someone could do the modifications I requested a while back that are sufficiently related to the applicable St. Clair Indians imagery, and/or the Esko Eskomos, but if they choose not to, then so be it. I'd really like to be able to use such modified imagery in my game, especially during years I was attending school at St. Clair High School, before I graduated exactly 30 years ago from there as of tomorrow, for sure. I finished high school there on Thursday, June 4, 1992, in fact. So as of tomorrow night, I will have officially been out of high school for exactly 30 years, it seems.

The font in question on the items is STADIUM, and the color-related information is below. I'll probably need to work on them more, of course, but for now, the current color-related information is as follows:

c1c6c8 Silver Sand (193, 198, 200)
202a25 Dark Jungle Green (32, 42, 37)
a9ee9a Light Green (169, 238, 154)

I haven't recolored any logos yet for them, but I might do that later, as the need and desire and inclination arises, of course. Just not yet, though, I think. Thank you all for your time and attention and all here, in any case.
