 ... curious in your picking of the Cardinals ... I LOVE IT!!!  ... isn't Solons a synonym for "senators."  but I wouldn't changed it though, cause it look GRAND ...

You are correct in your definition of the word "Solon"... That is what is shown as their logo in late 1930's - mid 40's... Of course this is my take on their jersey from the late 30's... They were affiliated with the Cardinals from 1935-1944, so I am guessing, that is the reason for the Cardinal in the logo...

I know you guys are currently working on the Pacific Coast League. However, if you are guys interested or have any free time I have a couple of old Negro League teams that I am looking for jerseys, caps, and logos for. You can use historic accuracy or make them modern. I just love the works you guys do! I have posted a few photos to help. Here are the teams:
