Each promotional/management group will be given 25 points to use to select their 3 boxers during the initial draft. Each point is the equal value of a boxer's ranking. For example: George Foreman is a "12" rated fighter, so a promotional/management team would have to use 12 out of its 25 allocated points to select him, leaving only 13 points available to draft the next two boxers.
Just thought of this idea while going through my database - each promoter/managerial team may choose the fighter file of the particular boxer that they want to draft and manage. For example: Matt Skelton has files ranging from '"6-9" in ratings. You can choose how many points you want to use on him. This allows for some flexability while drafting. Maybe you want to draft Vitali Klitschko, but you do not want to spend the 12 points on him because it would severely hamper your ability to draft any other highly ranked boxers. Maybe you feel like taking a chance and believe that a "10" rated Vitali could get into the rankings as well as the "12" and have a chance to win a world title. This will allow each stable to make more decisions and will allow some flexability in drafting fighters. All unused points remaining from the draft are "bankable" and can be used to acquire more fighters in the future. All stables MUST draft three fighters in the initial draft and cannot save points by only drafting two fighters. Stables will acquire points by meeting universe requirements that will be posted on the Universe Information page in the future as they are drafted. Examples would be points for winning Regional/World Titles, wins versus Top 10 opponents, Title Defenses, etc. Draft Order 01. Buckeye State Promotions - Joe Louis (14), United States 02. Stables please check amendment on draft board. Let me know of any adjustments. Draft is on hold until I can get in touch with KC. I think by amending the rule in mid-draft, it will affect too many stables. I am going to speak with the stable with the last pick to make sure everything is okay if I revert back. I believe that a lot of you were adjusting the numbers to fit and it would not be fair to make this change at this time. Thanks for your patience. After speaking with KC, I will edit the amendment depending on the answer.
Amendment erased. Sorry for the temporary problem.

Back to original Mandatory max3 fighters.
Sorry for the delay due to my brain fart. Thanks to KC, the rule will revert back and each stable MUST draft three boxers to start during the three rounds of the draft. I realized that each stable was planning on the lower third round pick by sacrificing some points on fighters in the first two rounds. So, the draft hiatus is over and Billy Goat Promotions may make its pick in the second round.
Also, KC, are you still going with your pick as a "12?" Thanks for your patience and once again, sorry for the delay and inconvenience. |

Okay I will take the 8 rated Ray Mercer. I was a big fan of his having seen him a couple of times when I was in the Army. It was sad to see him fall apart and get lazy.

You mean not picking up a fighter in the ridiculously stacked USBA region then yeah for sure. I really wanted Peter Jackson with that second pick, hell thinking about it going Jackson/Schmeling for my top two would probably have been the best route to go but I couldn't resist the urge to kill Big Red's and Sammy Langford's dreams of holding a title.

Unfortunately, this is a story that tends to be repeated nowadays. I do not see Arreola going too much further if he doesn't get his fat ass up to train seriously. Can't he see how much money, not to mention history, is possible. Arreola has double the opportunities to make history since he has a Mexican/American heritage. The market for an American HW, not to mention a slugger, could generate huge amounts of interest and promotional opportunities. And could you imagine the following and fan base he could attract with the Mexican community if he were to become the first HW Champion with a Mexican background? I believe he is squandering his chance (sort of like the Colts). I am a coach, and let me tell you, I would've gone for the perfect season. I have had this conversation with tons of people, but I stay with my decision to go after history. I understand the goal is to win a championship, but how many times in your life are you afforded the opportunity to make history, to actually go down in the history books for eternity?! How many of you can name most of the Super Bowl champions? But I bet all of you can name the only undefeated team in the history of the NFL! This goes for all aspects of making history...how many people know the top 5 scorers in NBA history, top 5 rushers in NFL history, top 5 HR hitters in MLB history? But I bet most people can name the number one person in each category, because it is an historical event. Arreola is squandering his opportunity to make history. One thing I like about Coach Belichek (spelling wrong I think), is that during the Patriots run for perfection, he tried to go for it and would've had it if Asante Samuels would've made the interception on the sidelines that went through his hands prior to the wonderful pass and catch. Everybody says how good Samuels is, and he is, but not too many people talk about his mistake, and only talk about the offensive play.

UK Boxing Group selects rated 8 Joe Bugner. Not suprisingly this pick gets a mixed reaction from the locals.
