Not off to a good start. Apparently Alderaan is the team to beat so far. We are not hitting very well. Leyland is frustrating me already. Our 3-5 are not hitting. Walker is already butting heads with Keel. on the bright side DeLuna & Cole look good.
When Wagner & Maracle come off of the DL both will go on rehab assignments. My goal is to have Wagner take Avalon's place and Maracle to take Carter's.

3 games vs Roses. Home opener. The Roses are a solid team but lost their best SP in Citizen Kane and a decent #4 in Harney. For some reason Axl Rose is not the starting 1B right now. They should be a solid team around 86 Wins.

3 games vs Scots. They are 3-7 for a reason. They are not that good. They will probably lose 100 games especially with injuries to 2 P. Hackman & Conway are rookies. Barnum played for me in Anderson, so I do like him. Ganton is a decent SP, but better suited as a #3.

Well I am happy that we signed LF Shoeless Joe Jackson for the season. Only reason we did not offer him along term deal was because we will have several players up for arbitration after this season. We also have some players in the minors that should help us late this year and into next year. Wagner & Maracle will be back soon since neither Avalon or Carter are doing much. I called up Norm Maclean and demoted Lee Fernando. i also called up Tim ackbar for oen game and put Ken Cinklin at AAA since we just had our 3rd extra inning game in the last 2 weeks which left my pen exhausted. Tim Ackbar came in relief for Norm and pitched great. Tim stayed, Norm was sent back to AAA, Cinklin came back also.
Really concerned about Walker. He has looked bad this year as have Burke & San Antonio. I know it's early but really wanted to get off to a good start.
I will go back to doing Beyond the Thunderdome on Sundays.

4 games @ Skywalker. They look good so far but I feel they are overachieving a bit. While their lineup is the best they have had going into their 4th season, their pitching is still bad. Cinnamon is in charge now and i feel he is the greatest MGR of all time on Endor and gets the most out of his players similar to Felipe Alou in Montreal.
Wilmer Flores gives them a huge bat at 1B in the middle of that lineup. Woodrow Seymour who they acquired in a trade with Brandywine gives them a solid LF who can bat lead.Chalica is not the player he once once but no one will want to fight anyone on Skywalker when they have him on their team. Wookies are known to pull someones arm out of their socket. They signed RF Jesse Winker to a minor league deal and he might still have enough left in the tank.

3 games @ Rocky Top. They look decent so far this year even though they lost LF Kim Adidais for the season. Not sold on their rotation after #1. I have them finishing around 78 Wins. They did sign some decent young talent from the defunct Steel Mill team like Matt Johnson and his wife Kathy and Donald Hedge.
despite the fact that i am friends with MGR/RF Tom McCain i hate this team. I do not like how OW Cliff Mewett handled this team when it was in Rock City with me at the helm and how he moved the team to Rocky Top when he became Mayor of that city. He is now the Governor of Metonee.
