George "Sonny" Smith
George E. "Sonny" Smith, OF, is shown in the uniform of the Chicago American Giants. His photo was posted previously on this thread as an older man in street clothes. This is NOT the George Smith who played in the major leagues as an infielder with the Tigers and Red Sox.

Alvin Spearman was a pitcher with the Chicago American Giants in 1950 and 1951. He also played the outfield briefly for the Kansas City Monarchs. He is shown here in the uniform of the Carman Cardinals of the ManDak League. The photo of Alvin previously posted on this thread showed him as an older man in street clothes.

Jerome Veney
Jerome "Jerry" Veney, OF/MGR, is shown in the uniform of the Homestead Grays. I have just come to understand that the Homestead Grays had two Veneys on their team at the same time -- Jerome and John. On page 66 of this thread, I had posted a photo of John as an older man, and had confused him with Jerome. I've corrected the language in that posting now.

John Veney
John Veney is shown in the uniform of the Homestead Grays. As indicated in the post above for Jerome Veney, there was a previous posting showing a photo of John Veney as an older man. This is the first photo to be posted on this thread to show him at ball-playing age in uniform.

Ted Toles
Ted "Lefty" Toles, P/1B/OF, is shown on the left in what I think is a Cleveland Buckeyes uniform. Ted was with the Buckeyes in 1947. On the right, he is shown with the 1950 Eston Ramblers, a Saskatchewan team in the Western Canada League. Two photos of Ted have been posted previously on this thread. One showed him as an older man, and the other showed him during his playing days, but in street clothes. These are the first to show him in baseball uniforms during his playing years. Update: The Cleveland Buckeyes uniform was confirmed by a later posting by Michaeltswank.
