I agree with the first, but my predictions don't border on reality sometimes do they?

If you're around when they play Italy I'll say it then (and probably look stupid later), although somebody else may come up with it beforehand.

Is it Spain/Ukraine first tomorrow? That will be an intriguing encounter, with the underachievers taking on the new boys.

Night, everybody, see you tomorrow hopefully.

Why soccer doesn't do so well in the United States.

I thought that was a well thought out, convincing argument.

I live in the state of Ohio and recently discovered a nice little tavern near where I live that is showing all the World Cup games. It's reportedly owned by an Irish expat. The atmosphere is nice and friendly and Irish-themed and there is Guinness on tap.

It's on my way home from work, so I will be able to go there to see the last half of the last game each day.

Weekends, of course, I'll be able to live there.

When did this become the ultimate spam thread?

I'd go look through the thread to find out, but, y'know, I've only got a couple of hours.

Am I the only one who thought Brazil looked a little out of sync at times against Croatia? I saw some really good things, passing and creativity that I could only dream of seeing from the U.S. team someday, but I expected more with all the hype surrounding Ronaldo and Ronaldhino.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!
