"Before starting this thread Markus said he hopes to have it out by the 15th. Moving it up a week would still miss this weekend. By voting us, I think a lot of people mistakenly thought the game would be out much sooner."

Honestly Remanjii, I think people just want to play the game as soon as possible. Give it up.

IMO we are best off abandoning that sinking ship that is Off Topic to the rats infesting it and just starting a whole new Baseball Forum from scratch.

That's just what I was thinking. April 15th, pushed back by a week, would still put us at April 8th. April 8th is still a week away. Opening Day hasn't even come yet, and there's no gurantee Markus will even take our suggestions, or will even look into what's in this poll.

My feeling, is that we all just need to calm down. It's a game guys, and we have people talking to themselves on the board about pointless things, and things unrelated to OOTP.
The game will be released when it's ready, and that has been stated numerous times. The game might not be released tommorow, or next week, or even by April 15th, and flooding the crap out of the forums certainly is not going to help anything.

Quite a few of the veterans on this board have already started ignoring half of us because we've pretty much started a riot, and we're making things extremely hard for Markus and co.
Everyone just needs to calm down, and I'll be the first to admit that I've probably been acting like an idiot for the last 24 hours.
Hopefully I'll be able to salvage some sort of respect

Depending on how you look at it, it can mean several things... At first I was hoping for a release tomorrow too, and I keep hitting refresh to check, lol. But after reading his statement he said it has one major thing left for coding. Doesn't mention how many small things there may or may not be. There may be none and it can be done tomorrow, or there can be 1 weeks worth.

Either way, it's all the way you read it. I like to read it thinking it'll be out tomorrow, but I don't want to be dissapointed.

Uh huh. And? I don't think it'll be out this weekend, or anytime within the next 7 days. That doesn't mean I can't wish the game to be out during the only time I will have to play it before next friday. But eh. Besides Markus said by the 15th, if not sooner, if you want to be correct.

I don’t mean this to be in anyway a negative statement against Markus, it’s what he should do….I doubt he really pays much attention to what goes on the boards. Especially, when this busy. Poor Steve on the other hand, I fear, is about to have a ulcer.

And in the case of this thread, we're asked for input

I want to play the game as soon as possible too. We just have different definitions of possible.

Sorry, Mike if I misunderstood your comment.

No, honestly I'm relaxed....I just wish that folks would read before posting. I know that some do, but others just post away even though the question has been asked and answered a number of times(I also from time to time get the feeling that some people don't like a particular answer to a question and think that the answer will somehow magically change if they ask enough.)

The problem is, some of us (including myself) haven't actually submitted any sort of creative input, ideas, or anything with a point besides boosting our post count. Markus asked us whether we'd want the game a little bit earlier without H2H, or later with H2H included in the official release. Now half the forums are speculating and hitting their F5 keys compulsively. I'm sure no one minds creative input, but I think some of us have taken this thing too far, and pretty much started a gigantic riot and flurry of posts which don't really have a point. I'm pretty sure no one minds opinnions contradicting their own; but are these actual opinnions based off of anything, or just simply pointless comments thrown out there in order to tack on a +1 to the end of your post?

I think that we all need to kick back and relax, pop in our DVD's of The Natural and let Wonderboy lull us off into dreamland.

When I was a kid, my sister and I would always pose the proverbial "Are we there yet?" question to my parents when we were on family vacations. One time, in a fit of frustration, my dad replied: "No, but you'll get there faster if I throw you forward."

Just thought I'd share.
