Cincinnati Reds CF Cy Seymour has met the vesting criteria in his contract.

New York Giants 1B Dan McGann has executed his contract year option.

Pittsburgh Pirates LF Fred Clarke declined his contract option.

Boston Beaneaters SS Frank Connaughton and CF Jimmy McAleer, Cincinnati Reds SS Tommy Corcoran, Brooklyn Superbas RF Patsy Donovan, Philadelphia Phillies RF Hugh Duffy, New York Giants 2B Hughie Jennings and C Aleck Smith, Washington Senators C Malachi Kittredge and 3B Arlie Latham, Chicago Cubs C Fred Lake, Detroit Tigers 2Bs Bobby Lowe and Frank Scheibeck and RF Sam Thompson, New York Highlanders Cs Deacon McGuire and Jack B Ryan, St Louis Browns C Jack J O'Connor announced Philadelphia Athletics C Doc Powers all retired.

The New York Highlanders activated 2B Jimmy T Williams, LF Davy Jones and 3B George Moriarty from the 60-day disabled list.

Boston Americans bench coach Kevin Wojtal, hitting coach Jason Keating and team trainer Erick Mora left the team. Their contracts were not renewed.

The Brooklyn Superbas signed pitching coach Jin-guo Sun to a 1-year contract extension and activated 2B Whitey Alperman from the 60-day disabled list.

The Chicago Cubs signed hitting coach Dave Evans to a 1-year contract extension and team trainer Gwon-soo Kym to a 4-year contract extension.

Philadelphia Phillies bench coach Ricky Ventura left the team. His contract was not renewed.
