State Mutual Stadium (or AdventHealth Stadium as it is currently known)
This is the stadium for Atlanta's high A affiliate Rome Braves. Located in Rome, Georgia. Several features are included in this model (e.g, Marina & boat, Bubba's BBQ Barn, Applebee's sign...etc). I purposely left out the Go Braves sign or any obvious ties to a specific team, in case anybody wants to use the stadium for another team with a different name. Also, the scoreboard used here is the older version. I find it more..... interesting..... than the upgraded high resolution big screen (in terms of OOTP 3D model). In real life, the new scoreboard is obviously much much better. Thanks a lot, I especially like not having the MLB team elements so I can use this most any where.

Beautiful model and a nice neutral backdrop with the trees. This will one definitely be used in my league.

Tainan Municipal Baseball Stadium
Tainan Municipal Baseball Stadium is home to the most successful team in CPBL history (most championships won by the Uni-President Lions) and also the oldest stadium in Taiwan. It was built in 1931 and still being used today. Not surprisingly, the stadium has gone through many renovations and changes. I certainly did my homework with this one and decided the 2014 version would be most interesting to build - This was the year they added field level "Diamond Seating" area. Also the lights were still inside the stadium (yup, you heard me right). Preview Pictures ![]() ![]() ![]() This stadium can boast that they have BOTH the best and worst seats in CPBL. ![]() Best Seats -- the new Diamond seat section. You cannot get this close to the action in any other stadium in Taiwan ![]() Worst Seats -- don't buy these tickets! Not only does the light pole block your view, but it can also be dangerous..... Because of a nearby airport, Tainan Stadium's lights are restricted in height and definitely not high enough to avoid getting hit by fly balls. ![]() One such case did happen and broken glass fell on the fans below. Fortunately, it was a poorly attended game so no one was seriously injured. The team had since moved the light poles to the outside of the stadium (in 2016 I believe). Look at this unbelievable shot. Man, this is not a place for the faint of heart: ![]() All in all, this is still a stadium with a lot of history and deserves to be added to our OOTP collection. Here is a nice dusk view from just beyond the Diamond seat section. ![]() Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/3o58d...adium.zip/file Dynamic scoreboard version (for OOTP26 and beyond) Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/edkpd...m_v26.zip/file ![]() Last edited by Flying_Canuck; 03-16-2025 at 07:49 AM. |

This stadium is a fantastic piece of Sketchup precision. Everything looks aligned, nothing forced, very natural (I know how hard that is)! Some of the images look like real photos. Great work.

As I work on my next stadium (which is going to be the historical Kawasaki Stadium in Japan), I'm also starting to play around with Dubai Cricket Stadium - just to make sure the groundworks and dimensions are correct.
I've always thought of Cricket Stadiums as huge monsters (more than 50,000~70,000 spectators?), but the one in Dubai is much smaller than I expected. The capacity is 25,000 and the circular field diameter is roughly 485 feet. The size is definitely enough to fit a baseball diamond with plenty of room for foul territories and backstop. I don't know how they will actually set up the field for the upcoming tournament but I assume more seats will be added to fill spaces around the field? Anyways, I got the basic structure planned out. Still need to add the awning and other details that are already there. Then we can see what else they put in to transform the stadium into a baseball field. ![]() |

I have modded a few sketchup models of cricket fields in my thread. They work out not too badly.

Hey Ised! I love all the stadiums in your thread. Very high quality stuff. And I agree that cricket fields would work pretty well for baseball, much better than football stadiums. |

Kawasaki Baseball Stadium
This is the last Japanese historical stadium on my list. I think I've finished all of the major ones. It's a bit difficult to find good material on the old Kawasaki Baseball Stadium because it has been transformed into a football venue that is active today. I tried my best to gather as much information from blurry photos and google translate some old Japanese websites. Kawasaki Baseball Stadium was built on a small lot, measuring only 387 feet to center, and around 292 feet at the corners. So it's one of the easiest place to hit a homerun in the league. Also, right field stands had to be squeezed in due to city road plan. Balls would routinely fly out of the park and damage the neighboring residence. For protection, a high fence was thus installed there. The stadium also had natural grass with an all dirt infield. This is common practice in Japan at the time. However, at some point the field was replaced, creating an unusual open air stadium with artificial turf. These eccentricities all made Kawasaki Stadium unique and I want to show that in the model. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/3cbhl...adium.zip/file Dynamic Scoreboard version (for OOTP26 and beyond) Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/7i7kg...m_v26.zip/file ![]() Last edited by Flying_Canuck; 03-16-2025 at 07:29 AM. |

Work continues on Dubai Cricket Stadium. The awning/roofing is starting to take shape. I think it looks decent enough:

Still no information on how they will set up the field, so I'll go ahead and model the rest of the structure first. Then work on the field as we begin to see pictures or previews in the coming weeks (I hope).
![]() By the way, I just found out that the November showcase will now only involve East vs West All-star teams. After spending so much time unveiling the teams, this does not bode well for the future of the league. I'm crossing my fingers....... But no worries, even if the worst case scenario happens and the event doesn't even happen, I'll just design in the field and dugouts, turning this into a psudo-fictional baseball stadium. LOL.... |

Maybe a failure
This league may fail to launch. Seems kind of doomed really. But the beginning stages look promising. Thanks for working on this project.

As I watch more press conferences, I can't help but feel this is like a fun hobby for those guys. It just doesn't feel legit enough. Regardless, the stadium will still be done. It's an interesting project and I like it. We can always use it in a fictional league setting or hold a tournament here.

Royal Athletic Park
Royal Athletic Park, in Victoria, BC, is a joy for me. The soccer field, along with the usual nuances of a multi-purpose park, is quite fun. I tried to make it as realistic as possible and probably went overboard in some places! ![]() ![]() Yup, there is a touring bus on the sideline. It's an attraction and fans can watch the game from the top deck ![]() The buildings in the background are modeled after the real thing, as much as I can. It's not 100% accurate but similar enough ![]() Unused bleachers, parts, and containers are piled up in the left side lot ![]() The sections at the far end are not needed for baseball. The further you go, the fewer fans there are ![]() Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/hjxbe...k_fix.zip/file Dynamic Scoreboard version (for OOTP26 and beyond) Download link: https://www.mediafire.com/file/wc2zm...k_v26.zip/file ![]() Last edited by Flying_Canuck; 03-18-2025 at 11:17 AM. |
