They may have stuck with Ramon Martinez for a little too long, but he was still in fine form, leading the Jays to a 5-3 win over the Rangers.

Uolevi Harila of Lethbridge was named the MVP of his Short A league All-Star Game!

Mike Norman of Lethbridge was named Player of the Week for that league.

Melvin Byrd of Woodstock was named Player of the Week for his Rookie league.

For the Bigs it was Darryl Strawberry, Royals and Greg Myers, Cubs

The Jays fell back down to #23 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

Wild Thing lived up to his name as Mitch Williams walked George Brett with the bases loaded in the 9th to give the Jays a 4-3 win over the Tigers.

Ramon Martinez pitched well but did not get the decision.

They lost, 8-4, to the Twins.

Not only did the Twins come from behind to beat the Blue Jays 4-3, but Khachatur Abkhazi was forced from the game with a back problem. We do not know how serious it is.

Khachatur Abkhazi's back isn't too bad. We will give him 3-4 games off.

Reid Cobb of Stratford was named Player of the Week for his A league.

For the Bigs it was Rich Coleman, Indians & Sid Bream, Cubs

The Blue Jays edged up a spot to #22 on the Weekly Power Rankings.

That is five losses in a row for Toronto.
