Scott Copeland's major league debut went well for him, but not so much for the team. He allowed only 4 hits and 2 earned runs in 7 innings while striking out 5. An untimely error by Matt Dominguez and a lack of production by his teammates turned that into a 5-2 loss to the Rays.

Logan Morrison hit his 14th home run.

Kevin Siegrist got into his first game with the Jays and had to leave the outing with a sore back. It doesn't look like D.L. time will be needed/
