You're always one short.
That's weird. Shouldn't be happening. Will check it out and report it.

My first impressions. The new minimum/maximum random debut feature is worth the $39.99 all by itself. The bug with the darkskin forced me to use the OOTP15 skin and I doubt I will switch back now, even when the darkskin is fixed. Still wish the play by play box was white letters on black (easier on the eyes) but not that big a deal.

Once again the makers of this great game have hit it out of the park.

Not sure if I understand the AI sometimes.

Joaquin Arias hits for the cycle and the player of the game is an opposing pitcher in relief on the losing team?

I see your point.

There was some kind of bug with player of the game selection - they were always pitchers, at least in some games. It's an issue that's been reported, so I'd expect it to be fixed soon, hopefully in the release tomorrow.

I like how changes to the interface and all of the tools functions, but I have a lot to teach myself about navigating the new menus from past versions.

It took me a while to find the Logo & Picture Preview. Now, how the *#&$% do I add a fictional league to an already-existing game??? I just can't find it.

I'm running on a resolution fo 1920x1080 and 'standard font size makes some things too big, while 'smaller' makes the font blurry and difficult to read.

The dark background that is standard for all leagues and players just doesn't work for me and doesn't create enough contract when viewing from team to team. Also when a player is wearing a dark uniform and one with lots of shading there isn't enough distinction between the player profile picture and the dark background.

Secondly when playing as a team that has a 'drak' team colour for menus (i.e. Red Sox dark blue) there is no differentiation from the fixed background. Effectively by havign a 'fixed' background colour/image it renders some colours not usable for team colours.

Also the team logo that you're playing next is stretched in the "your next game" panel on the manager home screen.
I agree with this post. I have bad eyes and the color scheme of the skins are awful for my eyes. The white background and pale blue letters blur together, same thing for the classic skin. The dark skin is OK except the light gray on some screens, like roster & transaction is awful. Mainly these are cosmetic problems do to my poor eyesight. I am using dark with max fonts so its working out some.

I've never had a problem with speed since I have a quad system with 3TB hard drive.

Button changes are going to get used to, but I really miss the menu button to select a team that was on the top right of the team menu.

I might be missing something but when I went to play out a game I didn't have 3d. I had it enabled but maybe I'm missing something.

Also I thought in the early emails said something about tracking things like 1 hitters. Am I wrong about this?

Except for the color scheme I think I will like this version most so far.

It seems like a lot of people don't like the color scheme.

I'm sorry, I didn't explain myself very well. What I was talking about was the feature you added last year. On the profile page, under current year, there was current stats, projected stats, and real stats. I liked this so I could see how my player was doing with his current league stats compared to his real stats for that year.

Actually a couple of people complained about the feature when you added in last years version. Their complaints were justified but I was hoping, if you decided to remove it, that you might still make it an option. Hopefully, I am explaining myself clearly this time. Like I said, it is a feature I always enjoyed, and was hoping it would continue this year.

Again the AI is really confusing me.

Had a couple injuries to my pitching staff and had to move some bodies around so decided to test how the AI works for setting the staff and asked both the bench coach and manager to set the staff .. they both picked this.

Hudson has been solid so far but they both throw him into a mid relief role and throw in a minor leaguer into his spot?

What?

Is this what you're looking for? For pitchers, choose "Real" from the dropdown. For batters, choose "Splits+Real".

Couple Things:

1. would love to see the team history not screw all up when expanding from 1 subleague to 2. To fix it is quite simple I think, have the finalist on the right side of the history index and the champion on the left when there is only one subleague.

2. also would like to see Draft info in each players Personal Details...I don't like having to navigate their draft info in their history page every single time...it is frustrating because there's plenty of room for it.

3. BUG: there is a bug where if a player finishes 2nd or 3rd in an award it shows under his MAJOR AWARDS SUMMARY as a win...if this is not a bug it is quite misleading. It will show a player winning Outstanding Pitcher 6 times but only 1 out of those six he actually won and the other 5 times he would only be a finalist. The inclusion of 2nd and 3rd finish is great but poorly displayed.

4. Add history button to taskbar.

5. League History Page: Have most recent champions/seasons listed on the top by default - please save us from sorting or scrolling down each time (I know, just a simple click of the mouse but it shouldn't be required.)

Believe it or not I just now got the chance to sit down and have my first look through, oh I pre-ordered, got my email and everything, loaded up the game and licensed it. Then I left it open and it stared at me all weekend long... taunting me...

mainly because I wanted to record it and share my thoughts as they happened. I was/am going to put it in an article on the wiki but it won't get to it till much later today so.

my first impressions of ootp15

A minor complaint/frustration, altough this is knid of personal and probably not many people used it. WHen in the pitching staff/lineups screen, at the right corner near the top, ootp14 and before used to have a dropdown where you could select your minor league affiliates and their respective pitching staff/lineups screen. I used to acess them from there, instead of through changing the league - select the team - select lineups.

Now, it's replaced by the "actions" dropdown... =(

My first impression is that this game is clearly broken. I ran a 2014 sim and the Mets won the World Series ... in 7 games ... and the seventh game went 19 innings ... and the Mets won on a walk-off home run by Ruben Tejada. It doesn't get any more unrealistic than that (and I'm a Mets fan)!

Of course, I kid. Loving this game!

I downloaded the game on Saturday, but haven't really posted about it till now lol. Looks pretty cool overall. Might take a while getting used to the new positions of some of the menu items though. 3D looks okay for a WIP and obviously will improve with patches and in OOTP 16. Haven't played the quickstart yet, but I will at some point. I'll post the leaderboards from a 30ish year fictional league sim I did the other night at some point to compare numbers to the one I did for OOTP 14.

My first impressions aren't so hot, some small neat new features but the UI redesign seems to have been done just to say something was done, why are all the action switches in lineups/contract negotiations/.ext now at the top? why are all the menus now full of other cascading menus? just annoying IMO.

Just click on your team name next to the Logo in the upper left corner, it's a drop down box for every team in your organization, and you can just change teams there, and adjust everything. Works the same on both Pitching and Lineups.

Yeah, I'm having a lot of trouble adjusting to the new 15 look -- so much trouble, in fact, that I've gone back to playing 14. My eyes are not great to begin with, but the glare from the bright white fields on the standard ootp15 skin is like staring at a field of snow on a sunny day. I've been tempted to try playing the game with my prescription sunglasses .

I've fiddled a bit with my screen gamma, but I can't seem to find a sweet spot between too bright and not enough contrast -- plus I really don't want to have to adjust my screen gamma just for this single game.

In all, that's disappointing. OOTP14 still looks fantastic to me, and is much easier on my aging eyes. I was skeptical of 15's "iOS" look when I saw the first screenshots back in January -- and seems the skepticism was warranted.

Would it be possible for the OOTP15 "Classic" skin to have something besides the bright white background, reserving that for the standard skin? A more 'off white' or 'cream' colored background, perhaps? I don't like the "Dark" skin (it's too dark for me), so don't really want to have to play with that as a workaround.
