Even just the update on where you are in the process makes the wait more tolerable. Knowing the progress being made, and what work and care is being put into it helps a lot!

Hey Cubbyfan, you do some amazing work with these rosters, seriously man, it makes the game so much more fun to have up to date rosters with this kind of depth. I actually joined the site to say that I'm so ridiculously excited to mess around with your new rosters that I'm willing to put down Skyrim in my precious little free time to kick some ass with my re-built Padres. So get them out already! Lol, I realize awesomeness takes time, but you don't have to be such a tease! Lol, keep up the good work man.

Cubby, I started with you opening day facepack and went player by player to find new photos for those without a FG or photo. The file now contains 7,000 photos. If your interested in adding this into your mod just PM me and I'll get it to you.

I am far enough into the process that I can confidently announce that the beta release will be out at an undetermined time this week to coincide with the Winter Meetings and the unofficial start to our wonderful baseball offseason.

It will be a semi-bare bones setup, but will include all stats from 2011 updated, end of season rosters as of 11/1/11, correct coaches, GMs and owners. There will also be a second release with updated roster moves as of the date of the release (Jonathan Sanchez on KC, Heath Bell on MIA, etc.)

Will still want to go back in subsequent releases to address some updates with ratings (some guys who had cups of coffee in the majors have some rough ratings as if they were in Single-A, which they were in the beginning of 2011) and prospect ratings. Also any organizational changes in the minors (teams changing names and/or cities) may not be changed right away, save for the Miami Marlins who have had their team colors, facepack, stadium and logo all updated.

Will be somewhat rough around the edges, but should be pretty fun to play around with if you're getting the baseball itch like I am with the Winter Meetings.

You mean you don't want to play in a division with the Miami Yankees? That is going to be the most ridiculous infield possible with Jose at SS, Hanley sliding over to third and Pujols at first. I feel really bad for Mets fans losing one of the faces of the franchise.

From previous versions I believe Cubby just leaves it up until the end of the year and leaves it up to us to either put the players on their new teams or have our own free agency.

Will release two versions at the same time on release day for everything, one will be as of November 1, the other will be with up to date rosters (Rule 5, trades, FA signings, etc.)

To keep everyone in the loop, I actually wrapped things up really early so I've gotten a chance to go through and edit rosters with the ZiPS projections that are out so far (about 1/3 of the teams have been released). Those 1/3 will be edited for beta, the others will have end of season ratings.

Guessing a Saturday night, Sunday afternoon release. I'd like to get as much in the beta as possible.

May even have time to re-rate a few teams prospects.
