We've hit the amateur draft in my league but the pool isn't showing up, it only shows players who were selected last year and were not signed; all players new to the pool are left out. Has anyone seen this before? This is a few days after the pool was revealed.

seems it was an error stopping the upload of the sql files. When I upload the players, players_fielding, players_batting, and players_pitching files, they appear in the pool.

I'm having some problems with the export tracker. More specifically, I'm having trouble figuring out the right settings for the file paths.

Our league is on a GoDaddy hosted website (yeah, I know, I know). According to GoDaddy our HTML root is /home/content/*/*/*/********/html/ (I put the stars in this post for security reasons). So I'm using that for the HTML Root setting.

For the HTML Path setting, I just have ".", because we have a subdomain for our reports directory. That URL fills the Server URL box below the HTML Path box.

Here are the settings I have for the next series of text boxes:
League Name: CBU
League File Path: /home/content/*/*/*/********/html/ootp/zlg-File-dir
Export File Path: /home/content/*/*/*/********/html/ootp/ztm-Upload-dir

When I click on the Exports link in the header, I get the following error: ERROR: No League File Found at: "/home/content/*/*/*/********/html//ootp/zlg-File-dir/CBU.lg.tar.gz"

Like I said, I'm sure my paths on the config screen are wrong but I'm not sure what they should be. Anyone got any pointers?

Thanks.

Any reason for the 'double slashes' prior to 'ootp'?

No, that's just a typo on my part. Thanks for catching that. I'll fix the OP.

League File Path: /home/content/*/*/*/********/html//ootp/zlg-File-dir
Export File Path: /home/content/*/*/*/********/html//ootp/ztm-Upload-dir

Do the final directories really have 'dashes' in their names?

From this, your league file is in www.yoururl.com/ootp/zlg-File-dir and the exports url is www.yoururl.com/ootp/ztm-Upload-dir

Is that correct?

It would help if you would post the actual url of your league file.

Statslab 11 draft timer issue

We have a Statslab 11 draft timer issue that I wonder if anyone else has noticed.
Our Statslab draft timer settings:
- Time Per Pick (min): 360 (6 hrs).
- 'Adjust Pick Time With Each Pick' is checked.
- Timer Starts At: 06:01
- Timer Stops At: 23:59

This works great until someone makes a manual pick between midnight & 6 PM. When that occurs then the 'Adjust Pick Time With Each Pick' setting seems to override the Timer Starts/Stops settings.

Example: At 9 PM the current pick would be listed correctly as "Pick is due no later than 2011-03-02 12:01" [Pick due at noon the next day]. But if some one makes a manual pick at 00:45 (12:45 AM) the new current pick is listed incorrectly as "Pick is due no later than 2011-03-02 06:45" [Pick due at 6:45 AM that morning].
Note: It's also possible that any manual selections after 6 PM will also cause our 'Adjust Pick Time With Each Pick' setting to override the Timer Starts/Stops settings. There is minimal draft pick logging done by Statslab so to check this out one needs to monitor it manually or set up a test draft, but I can at least confirm I have seen examples like the one listed above.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any work around or suggestions? It seems to me 'Adjust Pick Time With Each Pick' needs to be checked as otherwise a draft is going to take far too long with 6 hour pick windows. Currently our work around is to avoid using the draft timer and trying to manually auto any delayed picks, but that is an awkward and sometimes unfair practise. Another option (not popular with owners) is to run the draft 24/7, and tough luck if your pick is due at 5 AM.

Any other idea's would be welcome, and let me know if any clarification on this issue is needed.

Okay, I changed some settings around because I just remembered that our league website is a subdomain as well.

So here are the new settings that I have...
HTML Root: /home/content/*/*/*/********/html/
HTML Path: /ootp/zlg-Reports-dir/news/html
Server URL: http://www.adventuresofbradandjordan.com

League Name: CBU
League File Path: /ootp/zlg-File-dir
Export File Path: /ootp/ztm-Upload-dir

When I changed the settings, particularly the Server URL and the HTML Path, everything looks great. However, when I click the Exports link, I get this error: ERROR: No League File Found at: "/ootp/zlg-File-dir/CBU.lg.tar.gz"

Now, I think this is because our league file is called cbuLGfile.tar.gz
Here is the link to the league file: http://www.adventuresofbradandjordan...uLGfile.tar.gz

The link you supplied does not match the bolded portion you list in the error message. There are caps in one and not in the other.

I don't use the adjust time feature so I can't really comment on what you are seeing, but I can comment on using static deadlines for picks. What I like about it is that I can set up our entire draft and everyone knows exactly when their picks are due and I can determine when the draft will end. This way, I can give as much time as possible between early round picks and have the draft finish the day of the sim we reach the draft in game. It is also good for the GMs because they know when each of their picks are due as soon as the utility is turned on. No missing picks because they work 10 hours a day and a rush of selections were made while they were at work. That person would know their pick is either due when they are unavailable or due when they can be on and make the pick themselves.

Yeah, that's the issue. It doesn't find my league file because it's looking for the wrong file. It should be looking for cbuLGfile.tar.gz. Instead, it's looking for CBU.lg.tar.gz. If I were to change the League Name to XXX, it would look for a file called XXX.lg.tar.gz.

Do I have to change our league file to CBU.lg.tar.gz to get this to work?

UPDATE: I changed the name of the league file to CBU.lg.tar.gz and got the same error message.

Again, could you please post the url of your league file as it sits on your server?

This is the same link I posted in a previous reply. Is it not what you are looking for?

do you have cpuLGfile.tar.gz at the end of the path in statslab? I thought you had its syntax differently.

No, I don't. The path in the League File Path text box just reads: /ootp/zlg-File-dir

Just to see what would happen, I changed it to /ootp/zlg-File-dir/cbuLGfile.tar.gz and this is the error message that was produced: ERROR: No League File Found at: "/ootp/zlg-File-dir/cbuLGfile.tar.gz/CBU.lg.tar.gz"

I like the idea in concept, but fear it will make the draft take too long. I guess one advantage of the scheduled pick windows is that you know well in advance exactly how many picks you will complete before your deadline.

How much time do you allow per pick, and do you run the draft 24/7 or turn it off nights/weekends?

I'll be glad to try to fix this, but you'd have to give me access to statlab under your user account. I'll be around later tonight if you're willing.
