This thread is the perfect example of why this is being called the "Entitlement Age" and that people in their 20s are being called the "Entitlement Generation"

I am probably going to get majorly flamed for this...but what the heck....
First let me say that there is no one in the OOTP Community more appreciative of the work that goes on in making these roster sets than I am. The hard work these guys put in is tremendous, and they are doing it on their own time and at no cost. That brings me to my point. I for one would rather pay a little more for the game and have the real rosters included in the game. An Xbox 360 game with real rosters is only 49.99 and trust me, in my opinion, OOTP 2007 is well worth that amount. It just seems to me that it would calm a lot of the "disgruntled" folks in regards to not having current rosters at release. I have no idea what it would cost to get rosters included, probably more than the makers of the game can handle, but it was just a thought. Again, I will be one of the first to download this roster set and one of the MOST appreciative of the work. Hope this makes sense. Carp |

Read the thread. There's plenty of "updates". The file was done, he was uploading when a storm hit. He decided to shut down rather than risk having his PC get zapped.

I love how there are always a few who "would have done it themselves" except that someone else was. And that's their justification for complaining. How DARE APujols protect his computer during a thinderstorm. People are waiting, they're entitled. |

The only way to ensure rosters will be completed on your desired schedule is to do them yourself. That's all it comes down to.
Be disappointed. That's fine. It's understandable. However, don't attack someone for not getting them out when promised. Real life happens. Hell, I've had to put off some actual work stuff due to real life circumstances, and that's my career! I can't tell you how far off my radar something like "finishing real world rosters for people I don't know for a non-existent salary" would be. |

Just curious why this is a sticky thread in this forum?
Should be moved to the mods forum. IMHO. |

Actually, I think some effort was made in this area. I seem to recall Raidergoo trying to placate posters by mentioning that 'something is in the works for rosters', but until (IIRC) late Friday no mention was made of a goal completion date. I guess it was thought by that time that 'there is no way we can blow it now'. Well, life happens, and believe me, there's ALWAYS enough time left to blow it. |

When none of the usual suspects who make rosters weren't vocal during beta, people started freaking out. That's why this happens.
