Every international cricketer (and cricket official) ever, from every cricket playing nation; 70+ years for India, 50+ years for Pakistan. Also South Africa (Boer names mainly), West Indies, etc. as well as smaller quantities for Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and a few African nations, etc. Will take a little work to pull the names together and obviously it includes every player, so lots of repeats of the more common names, but that can be used to give frequencies. Also, about 20% of the players appear to only have a first initial, but the surnames can be used. I'll tinker with it over the next couple of days if there's an interest.

Hey folks, anyone know a Korean native who could help out with some checking? I'm very confident in our Korean last names - they came from the Republic of Korea government.
I've cobbled together a long list of potential Korean given names. (In Korea, given names are practically unique, so we need a large pool of names for realism's sake!) However, I have very low confidence that these names are: a. Actually legitimate possible Korean male given names b. Are written consistently in terms of the romanization (we're using McCune-Reischauer for the last names) Anyway, the list of Korean given names is here: Korean First Names Anyone who has knowledge of Korean, or knows someone who might help out, please let me know! Yes Steve, I finally delivered African name set (Approx 1500 last names, and 830 first). I will try and get more before the final release.

Also... is it pan-Canada? Steve and I decided to split the Canadian set between French and English, given that they are quite distinctive, so if they are combined in yours, well, they lose some accuracy, and we'd end up with 44% of French names instead of 25% (well, roughly).

Korean Names
This is table of Hanja as published by the Korean Government. The idea is to take two characters and make one name from them. If you can translate it, run a program that makes all possible combinations, your golden.

Just a quick update. Things are progressing on the names front. I have sent 2 versions of our name data to Markus, and his response has been very positive.
Currently, the top 4 sets we would like to work on are as follows: UK (potentially used together with Australian, if they are close enough) Czech/Slavic Portuguese Chinese/Taiwanese If you would like to help with any of these, please let me know. RBLWebGuy is working on the UK/Australia thing, but we don't have many other volunteers. Thanks everyone! I'll post in a bit with a list of what is included in the "completed" list so far. Steve |

upside:
He has ratings of infinity in contact, gap, power, eye, avoid K's He can play every position, perfectly, I might add, and hits from both sides of the plate. He clutch, a great leader, and extremely loyal. downside: He's also like 278 years old.

I have compiled what I would consider a fairly complete list of male first names for Canadians, based on geography:
