St. Clair Indians items so far
These may not look entirely, or even at least a little bit, like the various softball uniforms the girls' softball teams might have worn at my high school alma mater while I was still there, and while we were still called the Indians, mind you, but this bunch of uniforms for St. Clair High School's Indians is my current take on them, just the same, folks. I'll probably still have to make at least some caps later to go along with these four uniforms here as well, of course. But for now, at least, I have still made these here, in any case. I finished high school there in June 1992, and sometime after I did, and left the local area for somewhere else in my life, they changed the nickname of the school's athletics teams to Cyclones, in truth. Just so you all know this here well enough.
Lawn Loaf did a Cyclones set for St. Clair some time back, but I still consider St. Clair to be the Indians, just the same, as they still were when I finished high school. I haven't been able to take a picture of certain pages for my related annuals yet that might have a usable enough picture of the school mascot back then to work from, though, just yet. Maybe someday I'll be able to do so, but that won't happen until I'm able to get another computer tablet, at least, it seems to me, unfortunately. Besides pure black and pure white, the current relevant information about the reddish color or the fonts used on the items seen below is as follows: c8142a Fire Engine Red (200, 20, 42) The font used on the items with swashes for them is Ballpark. The font used on the items without swashes for them is Sancreek. I do not yet know if I'll be making any more items for them here, to be sure, in any case, just so you all know this here well enough. Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm quite sure, folks. Thank you all for your time and attention and all here, then, of course. That's all for this post, at least, I think. CD out. Edit: It appears that the shade of red used here may not be the shade of red listed above here, in at least one case. IF it isn't, then it's the usual red that the program starts out with for the sleeves and undershirt and collar colors, it seems. Just so you know. I'll probably revisit this team later on, of course, though, folks, in any case. CD out.

Good job on the Indians. Those are good traditional colors with nice fonts. Still think that you should minimize the shading just a bit.

CD, in my opinion, the St. Clair Indians are the best set of jerseys you have ever made.
They look like jerseys that a real baseball team would use... the Ballpark font is excellent... you should use standard sports fonts like this more often... most of the time your fonts and colors are "out of this world" (meaning "unique, strange and not of this world"}... and not likely to be used in "this real world". If you would use less shading, these are excellent... revise them with less shading to get rid of the smudge marks... post them to let people see what a difference a lighter shading would make.... give it a try. I'm not going to add any teams to my IPA or my South Island League, but if I did, I would use the St. Clair Indians. They are well done. Please make the caps in a tradiitional style using these same colors. Last edited by Eugene Church; 04-21-2022 at 10:46 AM. |

I don't think they're the best I've ever done, uniforms-wise, but I do think they look at least halfway decent here, just the same, EC. I wouldn't call things smudge marks, generally, but maybe it's at least partly, though not entirely, due to the default texture layers and/or shadows, at least, that make certain items not look as good in certain applications here. That isn't a knock, mind you, on justafan, of course, but just how things may often look with his applications if certain things are true with certain designs that people make with them, through no fault of his own here.
I'm certain I've done better with various teams in my various threads here, for that matter. But I do still think these turned out at least halfway decent, although it did take a while to do at least the ones with the swashes present, in any case. I'll try to have some caps made up for them soon. After that, I might try doing some items for the Wrenshall Wrens, although I haven't really been able to find any sufficiently useful images to work from yet, for instance. Talk more later, as time permits and all, I'm quite sure. I don't think I used a lot of shading on these St. Clair Indians items here, but I'd have to look again to be sure. Thank you again for your kind comments and all here, as always, of course, EC. CD out.

After Wrenshall, I may try doing takes on the Barnum Bombers and the Esko Eskomos, if I don't do any other items for schools in school districts that I attended school in, I think. Supposing they haven't already been done anywhere on these forums, that is, of course. CD out.

CD—do you plan on getting 23? I know there’s a different uniform mesh, so I think that your current uniforms would have to be converted or redone. Just as a heads up.

Haven't yet downloaded 22, but plan to soon. We'll have to see what happens in the meantime, and there's no way I can get 23 now, in any case, just yet, BNN. CD out.

This is the setting that knuckler used on my IPA jerseys... it is the way most graphics designers look, I think. Look at the difference between you your Indians and my Panthers... which do you prefer?... if you prefer yours, that is fine... but in my opinion, they look like they have smudge or smear marks... lighter shading is clearly better to my eye. I am going to download the game once I finish with at least one chapter of one of my current stories, I fully expect, to be honest. Which hopefully will be sometime by the end of the month, at the latest, if not sooner, supposing I can do the above easily enough and quickly enough. In the meantime, though, I'm going to try to finish at least one chapter as soon as I can, and go from there, as the Lord leads and all, as best as I can, for sure. CD out.

I don't generally use Shading 2, I typically use Shading 1, whenever I do use shading on my items, at least for uniforms, just so you know, folks. I don't think I used much shading this time around for the St. Clair items above, for instance, but I'd have to check on that to be completely sure here, when I get enough of a chance to do that easily enough. Of course, different shading and shadows and texture percentages may often make quite a bit of difference when it comes to the looks of certain items, both for caps and for uniforms, at least, if not also logos, from certain people here.
I'll keep plugging away at my graphics work as time and inspiration and all arise, Lord willing and all, you know, though, folks. I may never be quite as good at such work as many others here, but as long as I try my best, with the tools and abilities and inspirations that I may have present for me at any time in my life, I think I can live with what ultimately may be produced for me here well enough. Or at least to some degree, if not entirely, anyway, that is. CD out.

Here is a screenshot that I use for justafan jersey software.
SHADING is set for "Shading 1"... LIGHT 15%... and DARK 50%. Click on SHADOWS and select "None". Click on TEXTURES and select "None". You will not get the dark spots if you use these settings... look at the jerseys, it doesn't have dark spots like your jerseys. Last edited by Eugene Church; 04-21-2022 at 04:17 PM. |

Thank you for the quite helpful and quite constructive advice here, EC. I'll certainly think about it, and see what happens after you've just given it to me here, of course. I would really like it if I could also have various kinds of texture layers reminiscent of scales or bird feathers or parts of medieval armor available to me, for instance, though. Meaning layers that I could perhaps use easily enough while making various teams' assorted items, if and whenever possible and all, for sure, at times. CD out.

CD, just wanted to say, your color sense is impeccable. I went through all 118pp of this thread and grabbed dozens of uniforms that perfectly fit my Hogwarts House Cup game. I can now quite easily expand the league into the 'minors'. You know, the 9-10yos.
Even better, I have uniforms and names to go with the other schools, so I can expand my league horizontally too! Thank you! |

Ataraxzy, as a longtime God-fearing Protestant Christian as I am now, I would quite strongly prefer that any and all of my items WOULD NOT EVER be used for any Harry Potter-related or themed dynasties and/or leagues, most definitely. Or for any other similar ones with witchcraft and the like mainly behind those themes, for that matter.
For your various dynasties and/or leagues and/or teams with themes sufficiently related to superpowers and all, for instance, within reason, that might be okay, but not with themes at least somewhat relating to witchcraft and the like, for sure. Just so you know. CD out.

Hate to break it to you bud, but as someone trained in astrophysics and cosmology, I can, with absolute certainty, tell you that there's more magic and witchcraft in Star Trek than in Harry Potter, it's just lightly dressed up in pseudo-scientific technobabble (in fact, the word "technobabble" originates with Star Trek).
Let's make sure we keep aware of and, more importantly, properly separate what's fiction and what's reality, k? Your religious beliefs are not an appropriate topic for these forums. There are plenty of other places you can go to discuss those. Further, there are almost definitely actual witches here on these forums and you do them a huge disservice by equating their genuine religious beliefs with... pulp children's books. They do not deserve that. Not everyone here is a Christian and they deserve better from you. |

Ataraxzy, thank you for your response. It made me realize I posted rashly without first thinking things through. For that, I do apologize. Realizing now how offensive my post sounds, I will delete it. However, I did want to apologize publicly to you first. I hold to my faith in God and his truths, but I understand I must be cautious in how I wield my sword, so to speak. CD out.

There's no need to delete anything bud. I'm neuro-atypical too. We might live in the same country, but we live in slightly different cultures, so there's bound to be some rough edges.
Now that I'm aware of your feelings, I can safely avoid asking for help with jerseys and such for that particular save. |

St. Clair Indians items so far
Here are some hopefully-matching caps to go with the St. Clair Indians-variant uniforms seen above. The current information related to the colors and the fonts used on the relevant items should be the same for the caps as it is for the uniforms, I believe. Just so you all know this here well enough, of course, folks. That is all for now, at least, then, I think. CD out.

I found some imagery that relates to my high school alma mater, but I don't think I have the skills to extract part of it for one or more potential logos to use for the above team variant. I may need some help from other people here, to be able to use the needed imagery and/or text, for the above team variant, it seems to me.
I will post the imagery I found related to it on the next page, once I post what I've made or found so far for Wrenshall High School's Wrens in this thread well enough. After I post what I've found or made for Wrenshall, I'll post the imagery I've now found related to St. Clair, if not also graphics I'll do or find later for the Barnum Bombers and/or the Esko Eskomos, I'm sure. Just so you all know this here well enough, folks. CD out.
