MONEYBALL! J. BROWN RECORDS HIS FIRST PROFESSIONAL BASE HIT!
Does anybody else find it ridiculously stupid that Kry-Rod celebrated after the "save" like it was anything other than a meaningless game in which half the regulars had been removed? I mean cmon dude, you're gonna be golfing in 3 days.

Well, he did break the Angels' single season record with that save. But this is still extremely ridiculous, especially when the game doesn't matter:

Scutaro must be using today to show why he's really not a player that should be on a playoff team.

Well, the Tigers jobbed out to the Royals this weekend so it looks like the A's have to go to Minnesota. This upsets me.

A's Tigers series had '02 Twins ALDS written all over it, so I don't think the Tigers were the 'easy way out' so to speak. So, you know. What do you do?

True, that was the only time we were favored.
Let's just hope for no lost balls in the sun or baserunning blunders. At least we don't have Billy Koch or Keith Foulke to blow it. |

I really have zero confidence in this upcoming series. We're going to need some stellar pitching performances and I don't think there will be many.
EDIT: Yeah, and we have a shaky closer. I hope Macha has the balls to use Duschercher over Street. |

He will be exposed as a very bad defender in the playoffs, and it's going to hurt the A's.

1 hour until first pitch. Go A's.

Thanks Bob. I have about 5% hope for today, but at least Santana can only pitch two games.
