MONEYBALL! J. BROWN RECORDS HIS FIRST PROFESSIONAL BASE HIT!

Does anybody else find it ridiculously stupid that Kry-Rod celebrated after the "save" like it was anything other than a meaningless game in which half the regulars had been removed? I mean cmon dude, you're gonna be golfing in 3 days.

Well, he did break the Angels' single season record with that save. But this is still extremely ridiculous, especially when the game doesn't matter:

Yep, K-Rod officially went on my premanent "Assclown" list after his absolutely ******ed performance last night. He's a joke.

Scutaro must be using today to show why he's really not a player that should be on a playoff team.

Well, the Tigers jobbed out to the Royals this weekend so it looks like the A's have to go to Minnesota. This upsets me.

A's Tigers series had '02 Twins ALDS written all over it, so I don't think the Tigers were the 'easy way out' so to speak. So, you know. What do you do?

True, that was the only time we were favored.

Let's just hope for no lost balls in the sun or baserunning blunders. At least we don't have Billy Koch or Keith Foulke to blow it.

I just felt the need to put those two posts together. I'm worried, especially since the Twins and Angels offenses are somewhat similar...except the Twins are better.

I really have zero confidence in this upcoming series. We're going to need some stellar pitching performances and I don't think there will be many.

EDIT: Yeah, and we have a shaky closer. I hope Macha has the balls to use Duschercher over Street.

I was referring to the 2 infield singles that were hit to him in the first inning.

He will be exposed as a very bad defender in the playoffs, and it's going to hurt the A's.

And he got knocked around in his final tuneup today.

We know these guys all have it in them to be good, but they just haven't shown it much lately.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

Thanks Bob. I have about 5% hope for today, but at least Santana can only pitch two games.

I have an pretty good feeling about today. All the pressure is on the Twins IMO.
