Tuckanarra Blue Jays items so far
Okay, here are the two alternate uniforms I've made so far for Tuckanarra's Blue Jays. I haven't made any matching caps yet for them, mind you, but maybe I can, at some point, of course, jg2977. The same basic color and font-related information included for the main items above should still be valid for these alternate items here, I think, in any case. CD out.

Where are you on the progress of the map, and what are the next steps? What specific information/suggestions do you need from me?

Look at posts 5091, 5092, 5094, and 5096 of your thread. Those posts will show the current statuses of the relevant quarters from the main map. There are several unnamed locations to date, at least on the first quarter map, if not any or all of the other maps as well, at this point. I would like to have at least one or two towns and/or cities present in any area that has at least one IPA team in it, if possible, when I've done all the work needed to fill in the maps in question here. Even if it takes us past 1981, so that we can better develop the related IPA team locations' backstories and all, I still would, in any case, if at all possible.
As for the Great Lakes, let's see if we can't give them some names that work well with the towns and cities near or on them. Nordic-style names probably wouldn't work well for them here, though. Maybe as we further develop things here, though, several of the areas that apparently don't yet have lakes present for them could get them, in several of the northern country's areas. And the same thing could perhaps also happen for many of the southern country's areas, once we drill down further and cover a smaller area of the overall map, of course. We probably can't show all the lakes that exist now for either country at the current scale, for instance, but maybe after we finish getting the main political/jurisdictional maps done well enough, perhaps we can drill down in certain areas of both countries, and getting more relevant maps made for them, like road maps, for instance. Talk more soon, as time allows and all, I'm quite sure. Thank you for your time and attention and all here, as always, jg2977. This is an interesting project to work on, and maybe even a little challenging, at least, but maybe it will also help me get some ideas that I can also use for my various stories as well. Especially once we start coming up with various town histories for your IPA's towns and/or cities and all, I think. Or others do, if we involve them as well here in the creation of those town histories and all, you know, of course. CD out.

More names for places that could be placed near existing IPA cities, especially if you ever want to add minor leagues or promotion/relegation-style leagues, for instance, to your overall IPA framework. It is clear that you likely won't ever break up the 80 teams of your IPA into multiple leagues as I have suggested at least a few times to you, to me.
But if you want to create one or two nations for this particular dynasty of yours, and have people coming from them in your IPA, it might perhaps prove quite useful, once you have native-born personnel in your game, whether players or coaches or owners, I think, at least for immersion's sake, from those two countries. Currently, you have no native players in your game from those countries, so for the hypothetical people in your dynasty, they don't yet have any players from your nations to root for in your IPA. IF this were a real league, they'd probably feel less connection to these players than they would if the players were from their own country or countries. So let's see if we can't start giving them some native-born players to work with here, if possible, soon. Maybe even by 1981, if we can? Talk more soon, when and if time allows and all, I'm sure. Thank you for your time and attention and all, of course, jg2977. And let's all hope that the two older Freemans somehow actually make it to the Pro Cup Finals again, and do what they each did in game 162 at least once a series, for as long as Glasco lasts, even if it's only for an inning or two at a time, somehow. In any case, if they make it to the Finals, and there is a game seven in said Finals, I would like to see GC one last time on the mound with AG as his catcher, if possible, of course, for at least one inning, if not the whole game. CD out.

We can add some towns from the Game of Thrones world, as I really liked that show. Some names of towns and cities are Winterfell, Dragonstone, Braavos, Meereen, Lys, Lorath, Dorne, King's Landing, Oldtown, Lannisport, Gulltown, White Harbor, Pentos, Norvos, Qohor, Myr, Tyrosh, and Volantis, for example. I'll be rooting for Glasco, until they play the New Yerby Yankees, if that happens. That series would be quite a battle, as they finished with identical records, and would likely go seven games. Okay, I think we can use Gulltown, Volantis, Winterfell, Merreen, Norvos, Pentos, Tyrosh, and King's Landing, at least, for town/city names. Perhaps we can even mix in some Power Rangers-related place names as well, such as Angel Grove, Reefside, and Blue Bay Harbor, for instance. Or town and city and/or planet names, for instance, from various other media franchises, if not other real-world locations and all, of course. Please let me know if you think of any more potentially useful names we both could perhaps incorporate here, jg2977, if and whenever you like and can. CD out.

When I finally start up an OOTP 22 dynasty, I'd like to see my first one be a dynasty with favorite teams from multiple forum users, whether they've made all the items for those teams or not. I'm thinking of using a 32 to 48-team setup, with half the relevant teams being in one subleague/conference, and half being in the other, for the main league.
I'm thinking to start, each half of the overall league in question here could have four divisions of up to five or six teams each, playing a 162-game regular season schedule. I don't have a name picked out yet for the overall league in question, but I was thinking of having things as follows, at the very least, once that league is created in OOTP as needed and all: Republican Conference: Pujols Division (Namesake Albert Pujols): 4 to 6 teams TBD Herzog Division (Namesake Whitey Herzog): 4 to 6 teams TBD Forsch Division (Namesake Bob Forsch): 4 to 6 teams TBD Busch Division (Namesake August A. Busch, Jr.): 4 to 6 teams TBD Imperial Conference: DiMaggio Division (Namesake Joe DiMaggio): 4 to 6 teams TBD McCarthy Division (Namesake Joe McCarthy): 4 to 6 teams TBD Larsen Division (Namesake Don Larsen): 4 to 6 teams TBD Steinbrenner Division (Namesake George Steinbrenner): 4 to 6 teams TBD If anyone wants to suggest one of their favorite teams to add to this potential league, whether real or fictional, they are more than welcome to do so. And to show what they may have for said team that they are proposing for this league. The first 32 teams suggested will be guaranteed spots in this overall league. The next 8 may also be selected as founding teams, but that is not yet determined here. IF there are more than 40 teams suggested, then any extra teams over that number of suggested teams will either be potential future expansion teams or will be set aside for potential use in one or more related leagues here. There will be a one-team limit for team suggestions at this time per person suggesting a certain team for possible inclusion in this overall league here, though, for fairness's sake here, folks. Thank you for your time and attention and all here, everyone. I hope to see plenty of team-related suggestions from you all here, whether the teams are or were or will be real-world teams or they are at least somewhat fictional, just so you all know this here well enough. That is all for this particular post here, at least, then, I think. CD out.

I know that in all likelihood that probably nobody follows my IPA, except for you as you are the only one who comments. I'm perfectly okay with that. I post the results for myself, as it's basically a record of anything important that has happened in my league's history that I care about, and posting increases the immersion factor for me. If I waited for people to make suggestions about how to build my dynasty, I never would have gotten around to starting it. Last edited by jg2977; 03-30-2022 at 09:25 AM. |

No, probably not, but just a thought here, at least, that is, jg2977. I mean, I don't just want to use just the standard MLB teams here, you see. Although I probably will use at least a few of them, I would still like to see what other people think here, if possible, that's all.
So it looks like Glasco may very well sweep their current series. Who is their next likely opponent, in your view, if they win this series? Not entirely sure at the moment, though. What team would you likely choose for the above, of all the teams you have items for, then? Me, I'll probably either select the St. Louis Cardinals or one of the many teams I've created for one or more of my dynasties in the past. Not entirely sure at the moment, though. Talk more later, as time permits and all. Thank you for your comment and advice, in any case, jg2977. I haven't yet downloaded 22, but I hope to do so soon, prior to 23's release date, if possible. It probably will depend on just how quickly I can hopefully make significant enough progress on certain other things I'm working on or have been trying to work on for some time now, I think. Keep me posted, please, on things related to your IPA, and if you have more suggestions for names of places or lakes, et cetera, please don't be afraid to mention them, within reason and all, for the relevant maps and all. CD out.

If you include the St. Louis Cardinals, the major league teams that you'll probably want to include are their biggest rivals. Therefore, definitely the Cubs, and probably Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati as well. Also, they seem to be pretty big rivals with the Braves, Giants and Dodgers as they have had numerous playoff series against them. And perhaps you'd want to include the Royals as well, as they're an in-state rival, and you have the history of the 1985 World Series. You can consider including the Red Sox, as the Cards and Sox met in the 1967, 2004 and 2013 World Series. Plus, the Yankees can be a rival of any team. Then just add whatever fictional teams you'll like, and you'll be good to go. Definitely include the Cudestelt Saints, as those are among the best graphics you've done yet. Post a logo request on the forum, and specify to base the colors off of the uniforms. I'm sure that someone will do one for you. Last edited by jg2977; 03-30-2022 at 09:46 AM. |

Probably not Milwaukee, but if I do select other teams from MLB's history, instead of others selecting them, the Cubs are a given. And, obviously, the Yankees are a given here, along with the Red Sox. That's at the very least, of course. Don't forget the 1946 Series as well between the Cardinals and the Red Sox, which we won.
But this league would be set up in at least one fictional country, if not at least two, in any case. Hence the post as made earlier. The majority of the players, at least to start, would be fictional, although I'd probably still import a certain number of real players manually every season, if I'm not too mistaken here. I'd largely try to stay as hands-off as possible with this particular league. Unless, of course, I'm including certain created players of my own, for instance, in the game as well. Where would be a good section to perhaps post the plans seen above in here on the forums, if possible, in your view, then, jg2977? Even if I don't ultimately get a lot of responses to this thought-vein of mine? Just wondering, that's all. CD out.

So far, we have the Wichita Wranglers and the Tampico Stogies already suggested by people for the above potential league here. That still leaves a minimum of 30 more teams needed to fill the above proposed divisions and/or subleagues for the prospective overall league in question well enough here, though, it seems. Hope enough people might still suggest various names for teams in that overall league, of course. CD out.

CD, here is what I have for the Glasco Athletics and the Glasco Foxhounds.
I use the Black skin so most of the time I add a white border so it will show up better in my game... especially if there is a dark border on the logos... or a color that does not give good contrast with the black background. I think knuckler did the first Primary Logo, but I'm not positive... I had to do the Glasco Foxhounds... they are just fair... nothing special... one of these days I plan to post a request for an update on the Foxhounds and hopefully get one of the good designers to create them.. I found a nice A's Secondary Logo... but the green doesn't match the turquoise blue on knuckler's Primary Logo for the Glasco A's. I think you know how to change colors should you want to use it... I can do it in paint.net, but it is hard for me to do it. The Glasco Foxhounds colors are Brown (186, 88, 7) along with White and Black... the away jersey is light gray with Brown and Black lettering... the home jersey is White with Brown and Black lettering. The Glasco Athletics' colors are Navy Blue and Turquoise... I don't have the exact color codes... but you could match them, I'm sure. I used the Foxhound image on the sleeves of the Glasco home and away jerseys... I got it from cephasjames great 5000 mascot logo images... it is a great source for doing logos. Thank you very much, EC. You had another Glasco Foxhounds logo that was round, I believe, with text around the top of it, either inside the circle or outside it, too. But these are suitable enough, at least for my purposes. here, most likely. I will use these until someone else can make better logos for both team names, in any case, for sure. CD out.

I'm currently going through jg2977's IPA thread and noting certain potential location names as I see fit that might work for both he and me, at least, on the maps I'm currently working on for him. Also, I'm looking for more potential location names, for instance, from other sources as well, for sure. I think by the time I finish work on the relevant maps at the present scale I'm working at, I should have at least a few dozen more names of places that could be on those maps or other related maps for his IPA's territory, besides the ones where his IPA teams will be on them, if not at least a hundred or more. But we'll have to see what happens with those maps, in any case, by the time they're all filled in enough here.
Talk more with you later here, if and when I can and all, I'm sure, EC. Thank you for all your time and attention and help and all here, as always, of course. That is all for this post here, at least, then, I think. CD out.

If Glasco is still the Foxhounds in your league, EC, what are you currently using for their uniforms and caps? You haven't posted those items yet here, it seems. Do you think you can post them here, if you haven't yet, please? I'd really appreciate it, of course. Thank you. CD out.

That A's logo with blue text and green trim is probably the secondary logo made for my Willson Athletics team in the Slaabovian Republic League, I think, by someone else. Of course, I could be wrong about that here. But I really don't think I am. For it's identical to the secondary logo I currently have for them, it seems to me, EC. CD out.

Another fictional place name that you can add that I don't think was mentioned before is Harrenhal. Another location from Game of Thrones. It was actually the name of a huge castle. It was located on the north shore of the Gods Eye, which was a huge lake. So you can use that as a name for a large inland body of water. Last edited by jg2977; 04-01-2022 at 10:30 AM. |
