Nat "Sweetwater" Clifton was a first baseman for the Chicago American Giants in 1949. The only photo posted for him previously on this thread displayed him in a New York Knicks basketball uniform. The attached photo shows him with the Wilkes-Barre Indians minor league team, which at least gets him into a baseball uniform, albeit not in a Negro Leagues uniform.

James Davis, P, is shown in a uniform worn while a member of the Chicago Giants. This comes from a photo of the 1920 Chicago Giants. All the other players in the photo are wearing uniforms which say "Chicago Giants" or "CG," yet this uniform appears to represent the Chicago American Giants, which is a team for which James Davis did not play. My only attempt at an explanation is that he appears to be the tallest player in the photo and he was only with the Giants for a short time, so maybe they had to borrow a uniform for him.

Sidney W. Brooks, 2B/P/3B, is shown in the uniform of the St. Louis Giants. I've concluded that this is the same player who is listed as Charles Brooks in the Negro Baseball Register by Clark and Lester and in James Riley's Encyclopedia. Sidney Brooks is reported by Seamheads.com to have played for both the St. Louis Giants and St. Louis Stars during the 1919-24 period, and to have played the positions noted above. That info is consistent with what was reported for Charles Brooks, just too much of a coincidence for two players with the same surname.

Jesse Douglas, 2B/OF, is shown in the uniform of the Chicago American Giants. Two photos of Jesse have been posted previously on this thread. The one on page 43 shows him with a Caribbean team. The one on page 15 may show him with the Birmingham Black Barons, but the insignia on the cap is so difficult to see that it can't be verified.
