You know, it really sucks - I have a dentist appintment in less than 2 hours. So I'll be able to watch about the first 45 minutes of the game before I have to leave.

I should be home to catch a few of the later innings though. Just sucks that I have to miss most of Harden's return.

Hopefully he doesn't feel any soreness at all after.

Now then... About that playoff rotation, assuming Harden stays on schedule, do you actually think we could see:

Zito

I don't think that the front office would have the guts. More likely:

Zito

Loaiza
Harden
Zito

because for some reason, even though zito's been the worst SP we have in the 2nd half, people think he's our Ace.

Yeah, I'm sure Zito would get the two starts. Do you say Harden starts Game 4 because he's on schedule to start the final game of the season? I think he's our Game 2 starter. There'd be no excuse for getting swept and Harden never throwing a pitch.

Harden starts game 4 because of the same logic that has our worst starting pitcher going twice in a short series. They'll say something stupid like he was "rusty" or they didn't want to risk him, when in reality if he's healthy and able to go, he's the only guy on the team I want opposing Johan.

With one down year. Thomas had 2 down years. Thomas surpasses his 2004-2005 totals with 2006 alone. Thome can't claim that.

Comeback player is a tough award because it's hard to know exactly what to base it on. Thome's had the best year of guys up for the award, but I agree that more people felt Thomas was probably finished. I'd love to see Frank get it, and with the Sox falling out of the playoff race I think he might. I just wouldn't be upset or surprised if Thome did.
