Alex Haines first appearance with the Blue Jays came against his former team, and he was amazing. He went 8 innings, allowing only one run and striking out 9.

But he was overshadowed. Robert Stephenson didn't allow a hit until the 8th and gave up only the one across 8.1 innings as the A's beat the Jays 1-0.
