I can vouch for Darnell Sweeney showing up where he shouldn't, I think he won best bat for his position in my last live start.
I wanted to ask about minor leaguers having major league service in a live start when they have never been added to the secondary roster even. I was playing a Tigers live start and noticed Jackson Jobe and Ty Madden had major league service somehow and were not being counted as prospects anymore. I figured it wasn't a unique situation, and when I filtered for minor league players not on the secondary roster, with less than 1 year major league service, and sorted by major league service days, I found a lot of prospects, almost all pitchers, who definitely should never have sniffed major league service yet, with varying levels of major league service. What is causing this issue? Casey Mize's current injury (Tommy John) also is not reflected, he just has a 1 day recovery injury on any live start.

I'm not sure why this calculation is being done at all or why it is going into ML service days, but this is what I have found. I would think whoever is managing the live start database is using some formula to approximate time in minor leagues to save time, but the calculation is also going to the wrong data field for pitchers. I would hazard a guess that it should be going into time as professional, but that data doesn't appear to be trying to be tracked at all from live start, as every player (even position players and major leaguers) starts at X years, 0 days.

No Kevin Herget?
Rays called up 30-something veteran minor leaguer Kevin Herget today but I don't see him at all in a live start I began yesterday. When I search "Herget", Jimmy Herget of the Angels is present of course but nothing for Kevin, who started 14 games at Durham this season:

I'm not really sure if there's an easy way for us to fix that, but we can try to take a look and see if there's any easy way around this sort of thing in the future.

The Rockies 1B coach is Ron (Ronnie) Gideon.
It should be the Gideon born on 1/13/64 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ron_Gideon) not the younger Gideon born on 9/20/94 (https://www.milb.com/player/ronnie-gideon-641612) |

Cade Halemanu was drafted and signed by the Rays but he doesn't appear in the game. Also, any chance Hunter Elliott from Ole Miss might be re-added into the database from last years edition?

Started a brand new Live start after the release of the patch, Cards AA infielder Errol Robinson is no where to be found. According to MiLB.com he's been with the Cards since July 22.

This is for the same reason as one of the cases mentioned above, since he starts off with an Indy League team in the db, you'd need to have his league loaded to get him into the game. I moved him to be a FA in MLB now, so this will get fixed next patch.

I recently started a live start on the new patch and was going to sign some indy league players to fill out my minors rosters because I have a lot of injuries on my double a team. Most of the indy teams have no players on their rosters. Did I do something wrong?

I just purchased this version and set up a live start to test out some stuff. I noticed that there are several errors regarding service time for minor league prospects. Top prospects such as Andrew Painter and Jack Leiter are showing almost a year of MLB service time.
That made me a bit curious, so I went through the MLB Top 100. 25 players on the current list show more than 100 days of service time. Many of these players have yet to move past Double-A ball. I apologize if someone else has already brought this up, but I thought you folks should be made aware. |

After my first post, I looked a little deeper and noticed that pretty much every team has several pitching prospects that have several days of service that have never actually been in the MLB. |
