Cards notes: Preview of series with Braves
The Cardinals struggled to squeak out the finale of their three-game home series against the Dodgers, avoiding a sweep in the process, and it does not get any easier as the NL East leading Atlanta Braves are bound for St. Louis for a four-game series.

Cards news: Pham and Gregerson sent to Angels for right-handed reliver Heller
The latest scouting report showed Tommy Pham's center field rating had dipped to 35, meaning an already mediocre fielder had gotten worse.
That, along with the fact he was batting .183 with three homers and 15 RBIs, and indicating he wanted to be someplace where he could DH and play left field. Los Angles seemed to be a good landing spot. Accompanying him is right-handed reliever Luke Gregerson, who despite being my highest-rated righty in the bullpen, has an ERA of 8.72 and WHIP of 1.72. Coming to St. Louis will be right-handed reliever Ben Heller, who in 29 games has an ERA of 7.18 but sports a three-star rating. Oh, and the fans are pissed a clubhouse lawyer, for himself, in Pham is gone. F--- them. Last edited by rink23; 05-31-2018 at 06:13 AM. |
