If he could have stayed healthy I think he would have surpassed Aaron and Bonds.

Kinda quiet on the thread today, so I present #29, Adrian Beltre.

Such a sweet swing for a righty. Sure glove in the field. I wonder what happened to him after he left the good guys...

I don't know about you, but when I think of Joe Carter in a Blue Jays' uniform, this is the image that comes to mind immediately. (I know you described it with words, but I'm more of a visual guy )

Pedro Guerrero was one of my favorites growing up. 5 time All Star. MVP of the '81 World Series. After Ron Cey left the team, Tommy ended up putting Pedro at 3rd for about a year and a half. He was not a good 3rd baseman. He was pretty terrible, and everyone (Pedro included) knew that he was playing out of position. There were some pretty bleak years in the Dodgers infield with Pete and his concrete glove, Bill Russell needing a walker to get around, and Steve Sax with the yips.

Still, Pedro was a clubhouse guy, could hit a ton, and was one of my boys in blue. Broke my heart when he went to the Cards. He had a major stroke about a year ago, and last news was that he's recovering. Here's wishing him the best.

A cringe-laden thumbs up from Yankee land. I had never heard of Guerrero before the '81 WS and would certainly never forget his name after. The (alleged) beating Steinbrenner caught in an elevator by two drunken fans during that WS could've served as a metaphor for the one the Yanks took on the field after Game 2. Bummersville.
