The offer is for 5 years, with a team option for a 6th year.

The first three years cover his arbitration years remaining, and then a 2 year deal with an option for a 3rd free agent year.

The payouts are as follows:

2019 - Age 23 season - $12,000,000
2020 - Age 24 season - $14,000,000
2021 - Age 25 season - $17,000,000 (final year of arbitration)
2022 - Age 26 season - $17,000,000
2023 - Age 27 season - $18,000,000
2024 - Age 28 season - $20,000,000 with a $5,000,000 buy out (team option season)

This is an accept or decline offer only. Lucius' projected arbitration payout for the 2019 season is $12,000,000 any way. Should NateandStuff choose to decline this offer, then Lucius will make $12,000,000 in 2019, his age 23 season, and return for arbitration in 2020, his second year of arbitration.

$83,000,000 is promised in the extension over 5 years, and up to as much as $98,000,000 over 6 seasons

You can actually make that request....it's up to you...he would be recommended to be a left fielder, but I don't know that he would start in Arizona based on their outfield and 1B depth.

I can give you the details when the new season begins if it's something you want to look into.

Shawn Porter traded to the Twins!

Lol, that's just funny. He joins Madison and Jackson on that team, maybe Madison can help him with his pitching this season....or maybe Porter turns into an outfielder and helps them hit....but the Twins need help pitching, not hitting

My client, James "The Framer" Madison, is disappointed that he was not tendered a contract by the Minnesota Twins. He will remember this when he reaches free agency.

He just wasn't offered a long term contract

He's still going to make $9,500,000 in arbitration this upcoming season.

I'm always confused about whether he's "The Framer" or "The Farmer".

Maybe both... he's planting the seeds to make Minnesota a very attractive place for pitchers.

Lucius became the 7th player to hit 40 home runs from the age 22 or younger.

The list?

Mel Ott - 42 at 20
Joe DiMaggio - 46 at 22
Eddie Matthews did it twice - 47 at 21 and 40 at 22
Johnny Bench - 45 at 22
Juan Gonzalez - 43 at 22
Alex Rodriguez - 42 at 22

His 88 home runs through the age 22 ranks him 10th all time at that age (1 ahead of Griffey Jr and Bench)

That list?

Jeffrey Lage - 127
Mel Ott - 115
Eddie Matthews - 112
A-Rod - 106
Tony Congilario - 104
Frank Robinson - 98
Giancarlo Stanton - 93
Bob Horner - 91
Ted Williams - 91

Also, Lage's 113 SB's is 8th all time at the age of 22...Ty Cobb already had 193, Rickey 189

Wow that's pretty impressive. Can't wait to see where we go from here. Here's to hoping Lucius gives Lage a run for his money over the next decade.

Still waiting on Turnwall to make his choice....but I have a night in with my kids since my wife has a night out, and I am wanting to update this.....so I'm going to move forward, and I will retroactively fix his contract if he declines the offer.
