I wouldn't mind him returning to Arlington. It would be nice to pay the best player in the AL to play for your team, and not the Yankees.

Plus, maybe he has a better chance of passing Bonds if he plays someplace else. I would not mind seeing that at all, even if quite a few of the HR's are against the Yankees.

I was glad to see the boos shared with Giambi tonight. Arod isn't the only one struggling with runners in scoring position right now!
Although, Jorge is seriously clutch, seriously.

Yankees, 1-2, with struggling starting pitching, leaving a lot of men on base, making an unusual amount of errors.
Mets, 4-0, outscoring their opponents 31 to 3. A virtual juggernaut. That's it, the season's over. The Yankees stink; let's just declare the Mets the champs right now. You can catch me over on the Mets thread for the rest of the season. I will be using my new alias "1986 Mets." 'Bye, maybe next year here. Just kidding guys! (Moderators, kindly forbear. Thank you.)

Looks like Jesus will be hitting the DL for the first time in his MLB career as it appears JD has a calf strain.

If you're talking about Damon, nah, that's old news. He was much better yesterday and unlikely now to go on the DL. Watch that change tomorrow, though. BTW, your friend Scott Hairston was mentioned in that article as likely to "miss a couple games after fouling a ball off his knee." |

That guy sucks. Boooooo! I mean he only hits when it doesn't matter. If the game were against Boston he would have struck out for sure.

I see there aren't any Arod haters chiming in. I know it was only one game, but it sure was needed. Hopefully he can keep doing it, while our pitcher's decide if they want to show up or not.
I bet the Yankees are slightly regretting not signing Bernie now, we all of a sudden have a hobbled OF. Even though JD pinch hit, I'm not convinced he's 100% |

I'm sure A-Rod bought himself at least like 15-20 minutes of not being booed with that walk off granny.

Yes, maybe he can make it back into the lineup so that Cabrera can move over to left to fill in for Matsui, who pulled a hamstring yesterday. What's going on here? (Answer: playing ball in a cold April.) |

That was a great win but I'm worried about the state of the starting pitching and lack of backup help. The weather is part of the problem but not all of it. To me, Cairo should be the infield backup and not be playing outfield. Do the Yankees really need to have a platoon at first? I'd rather see another outfield backup whether it's Bernie or someone else. If any luck, the staff will pitch better on the road trip this week.

I would smile inwardly and enjoy a warm fuzzy feeling if Bernie Williams were to rejoin the Yanks this year (of course, that would mean a serious injury to one of the OF starters), but I don't think that's going to happen any more. That guy Thompson down in AAA will get first call, I'm sure.

Boy, Arod is really heating up. Another homerun in the first inning, 3 homeruns in 5 at bats.
