Ruslan Chagaev, Uzbekistan, 17-6-0 (13) vs Darnell Wilson, USA, 15-2-0 (12)
The "White Tyson" comes to the states to fight the "Ding-A-Ling Man" in what should prove to be an interesting fight. Chagaev rips a hook to the head, no pun intended, of the "Ding-A-Ling Man", but Wilson is ahead in the first, 10-8. Chagaev, 12-5, in the 2nd. A crisp, hard cross opens up a cut on the left eyelid of Wilson in the 3rd. 21-6, Chagaev in the 3rd, even though Wilson landed the hardest punch of the round that backed Chagaev up against the ropes. 9-6, Chagaev in the 4th. The 5th is the best round so far, as both fighters take turns banging to the body. A jab reopens the cut over Wilson's left eye as he paws away the blood from his face. The ref brings Wilson over to the doctor and the fight has been stopped. Winner: Chagaev Result: (TKO5) Cards: 39-37 Chagaev, 38-38, 39-37 Chagaev Punch stats: 93-254, 36.6% Wilson - 144-546, 26.4% Chagaev |

Winky Wright, USA, 4-0-0 (4) vs Chris Thomas, USA, 3-1-0 (2)
It looks as though we are going to have a good, old-fashioned slugfest here as Winky lands the first shot but Chris Thomas waves his gloves and tells him to bring it on. Thomas and Wright end the round with a violent exchange, Wright getting the best of it, 15-9. Wright gets inside of Thomas's guard and lands 16-7 in the 2nd. 8-0, for Wright in the 3rd. The 4th is Wright's also, 14-4. A combination puts Thomas down in the 5th, 18-2, Wright. Thomas is relegated to the duties of being a counter puncher because he is unable to back Wright up with any clean punches. The 8th looks like a round that can be scored for Thomas, but the 9th is Wright's again, 10-2. Both fighters slow the pace to a crawl in the 9th. The pace and momentum of the entire fight has really slowed down as Thomas is finding it difficult to pierce Wright's defense with any significant punches. A hard right cross puts Thomas down in the middle of the 13th round. Wright has this fight all wrapped up as long as he doesnt get careless and gets caught with a fight ending punch. The fight ends as the crowd shows their displeasure with the lack of competitive action. Thomas just didnt bring it after calling Wright out in the opening round. Winner: Wright Result: (UD15) Cards: 147-136, 147-135, 147-136, all three cards in favor of Wright Punch stats: 111-793, 14% Thomas - 396-846, 46.8% Wright |

Terry Norris, USA, 4-0-0 (4) vs Firpo Wolf, USA, 5-0-0 (2)
Norris fakes a left and sticks a lead right in Wolf's face. Wolf is having trouble with Norris' quickness losing the first 2 rounds pretty badly. The 3rd is no different, 19-2, all Norris. Wolf throws Norris against the ropes in frustration and lands a one-two to the body and the ref doesnt even give him a warning, even though Norris still took the round. A head-butt in the 5th opens a cut over the right eye of Norris. The 6th is the best round for Wolf so far. Wolf has seemed to be energized by the sight of Norris' blood, hoping that this fight may be stopped by the cut. 12-0, 9th for Norris. The patch job has held up so far. 17-2, another big round for Norris in the 10th. Norris is hurt from a big hook but does a good job of tying Wolf up for the rest of the 12th. 15-0, Norris in the 13th. We go to the cards. Winner: Norris Result: (UD15) Cards: 148-136, 147-137, 147-137, all three cards in favor of Norris Punch stats: 173-831, 20.8% Wolf - 475-907, 52.4% Norris |

Mikkel Kessler, Denmark, 9-0-0 (9) vs Jesper Kristiansen, Denmark, 6-3-0 (1)
Kessler takes on fellow Dane, Kristiansen, in a fight that should help get the winner recognized by the SCANBU rankings. Kessler takes the lead early and wins the exchanges in the 1st round, 17-10. Kessler takes round 2 as well, 16-9, but Kristiansen is finding his mark. 12-2, Jesper in the 3rd. Kessler corners his opponent and lands a three punch combo, the best of the fight thus far. A body shot makes Kristiansen crumble to the floor here in the fifth, but Kessler has some swelling around his left eye. Kessler catches Kristiansen with a feint to the body and a shot to the head that puts him down. Jesper is up at six but shows no signs of responding to Kessler's relentless attack. The fight is halted and Kessler remains undefeated! Winner: Kessler Result: (TKO7) Cards: 59-54, 58-55, 58-55, all three cards in favor of Kessler Punch stats: 137-280, 48.9% Kristiansen - 219-581, 37.7% Kessler |

Ray Mancini, Italy, 10-0-0 (10) vs Giannino Luise, Italy, 11-6-0 (7)
Mancini opens up the fight with a string of punches, 13-0, but allows Luise to do the same at the end of the round, 8-0. Luise lands a crushing hook to the body that hurts Mancini, 13-2, Luise in the 2nd. Luise, 14-7, in the 3rd. The 4th is good for Mancini, 21-5, as he gets Luise on the ropes and lands some good punches on the inside. Luise develops some swelling around his right eye as he and Mancini split the 5th and 6th. The 7th is close, 7-4, Luise. 17-0, Mancini in the 8th, landing a nice combo followed by a big right cross. It looks like Mancini is starting to pull away as he takes the 9th, 18-7. A hard uppercut puts Luise down in the 10th as his eye is almost shut. Luise protects his eye and does some nice work, 12-11, in the 11th. An overhand right puts Luise down in the 12th. Luise is down again, barely gets up at the count of nine, but the ref waves the fight off as Luise is just not all there. Winner: Mancini Result: (TKO12) Cards: 106-103, 106-103, 105-104, all three cards in favor of Mancini Punch stats: 226-574, 39.4% Luise - 357-997, 35.8% Mancini |

George Stankovich, New Zealand, 14-1-0 (14) vs Young Haumona, Tonga, 13-6-1 (4)
I would have to say that Stankovich has been the most surprising of the young prospects the last two years. He wasn't highly regarded coming into the professional ranks but has shown that he can win fights and has a propensity to excite the boxing fans with his power punching and knockout conclusions to his fights. A back and forth round with Haumona landing the last punch, 15-11, in the 1st round. 12-7, Haumona in the 2nd. These two are really throwing heavy-fisted punches and I cant see it going the distance. Rounds 3-4 are close and probably split between the two. Stankovich lands a nice uppercut followed by a combination that hurts Haumona, 21-4, in the 5th. Haumona comes back in the 6th, 14-11. Haumona is spitting up blood from the hard punches that he is taking in the 8th, 20-10, Stank. Haumona is down in the 9th and has the whole round to try and survive, 22-6. A right hand has caused some bleeding from Stank's mouth here in the 10th, as Stankovich lands a nice uppercut on the inside that puts Haumona down again. Haumona gets up but is down again just as quick. He manages to get up at the count of four, but is very unsteady and the fight is waved off. Winner: Stankovich Result: (TKO10) Cards: 85-85, 86-85 Stankovich, 88-82 Stankovich Punch stats: 233-474, 49.2% Haumona - 258-768, 33.6% Stankovich |

Yubeleiny Sports Palace, St. Petersburg, Russia
Joe Bugner, England, 19-5-0 (16) vs Pavel Melkomian, Russia, 15-3-2 (7)
The best exchange is from Bugner with a three punch combo in the 1st, but he is also warned for a head-butt, 6-6. Melkomian in the second, 8-2, and 10-8, in the 3rd. Bugner bulls his way inside and goes to the body with some ripping shots, 12-4, in the 4th, and 10-8, in the 5th. Another warning to Bugner for hitting and holding in the 6th, 9-6, Bugner. The 7th is the best round so far, 11-10, Melkomian. This fight is very close right now as Bugner takes the 8th, 12-8. Bugner is warned again for leaning on Melkomian's neck in the 10th. Bugner's corner should be worried because he has a history of getting DQ'd for too many fouls in his last 10 fights. We enter round 13 in a good fight. Melkomian gets caught on the ropes and in the corner and pays the price, 17-3, Bugner in the 13th. 13-7, a strong 14th for the visitor. Melkomian seems to have taken the last round although it was very close, 7-4. We should have a very interesting score. Winner: Bugner Result: (MDec15) Cards: 145-143 Bugner, 143-143, 144-142 Bugner Punch stats: 323-905, 35.7% Melkomian - 295-1147, 25.7% Bugner |

Mexico's Martinez brothers look to impact regional boxing...
Three young brothers and their father/trainer have all decided that it is the right time to turn pro and look to impact the LABA and CABO regions. M&M Management (fictional non-controlled) will oversee the careers of Jesus "Mexicutioner" Martinez, Jose "Mexterminator" Martinez, and Miguel "Mexplosive" Martinez. They have also added their long-time friend and training partner, Salvador "Hitman" Huevas to their stable.
