Other than maybe Zobrist in Tampa, can you name a starting shortstop in the American League that you think Scutaro is better than?

Juan Uribe. Angel Berroa. Aaron Hill. Alex Gonzalez. Better than all those offensively.

Edit: Forgot Jhonny Peralta.

Edit 2: Forgot the most important one: Bobby Crosby. I hate to say it, but at this point it's true.

Oh, and I really hate Jay Payton.

Why is Zito still in the game? It's like Macha doesn't think it's fun bringing in his relievers until the starter gives them a jam to work out of.

Why is Zito still pitching? Because he gets a double play, of course! Yes. I didn't edit this post at all. No, sir.

The 2-1 pitch was just as far outside as the 3-2 pitch, but low... this umpire is so confusing.

I was wondering about that one. Ray Fosse would have had a field day with it.

It's hard to say "this umpire is bad" a lot of times (I do it anyway; I hate umpires), but when a guy is as inconsistent as this one is that's the true sign of bad umpiring.

Btw, I still hate Jay Payton. I'm sick of guys swinging at the first pitch in that situation. He just got lucky.

The Rangers are making me a very happy boy right now, up 11-4 (and counting!) in the bottom of the 7th. Can we say "Single digits"?

w00t!! They've tacked on a few in the 9th but are down to two outs and still down by six runs. Single digits would be sweeeet!

If we break out the brooms tomorrow, do you promise to not spank us in the playoffs? TIA.
