Haren gets rocked when he leaves pitches up and he gives up longballs.

But that goes for basically every pitcher. I want to know why he does that so often. He's either shutting teams out or giving up 7 runs. What's different in those 7-run games that causes him to leave pitches up? Does he get into a bad arm slot that the dope pitching coach can't detect? Is it pitch calling? It's really not a matter of stuff, but location. I dunno, it just seems kinda rare for a pitcher to have numbers like Haren.

I already put the 13 up. The game isn't official in LA so no number yet. Should be quite shortly though.

Now it's Zito's turn. Just hold the Sox down until the 6th. That's when Vazquez generally starts to suck real bad.

Listening to the FOX announcers is painful.

"A rare walk for Zito." that was mentioned right after they noted that it was his 90th walk of the season.

Ha. According to our newspaper it was on WGN today, but when I switched it there at gametime they were showing a movie. So I was annoyed and went off and did something else. Now I turn on FOX and it's on. At least it appears I didn't miss anything.

I am so bad luck. I've had it on for under a minute and Dye hits a 2-run homer. :-P

Um, wow.

This umpire is truly horrid. He's squeezing Zito and at the same time Vasquez is getting the strike zone plus about a foot in each direction. The called strike 3 to Swisher and Johnson were ridiculous.

Yeah, it's quite obviously one-sided. At least the score isn't worse. But we should have had at least two runners on via BB last inning.

Wow. Strike one to Ellis after the Kendall hit has been a ball to Zito all day long.

Why is the umpire wearing White Sox undies?

This ump is giving up on Zito's curveball immediately. Some umpires just can't handle it well, and this guy is one of 'em. The Sox are doing a good job of not swinging at it since it can be right down the middle (as a handful have been) and they won't be called a strike.

Oh yeah, they're awful. I liked the line about the "rare start for Dan Johnson" when he's started about half the games since being recalled.

I like how as the idiots are raving about how spectacular Scutaro has been (nevermind that he's one of the worst fielding SS in baseball) he GIDPs while Vazquez is trying to blow up.

He's no worse than average. You should watch more teams play.
