Got it sorted now and when I create a league it auto imports the stadium, so sweet.

One question, when the years switch and if a new stadium was used historically will the game know to automatically use that new stadium file based on the naming convention or something like that or will I have to know to manually go switch it to the next iteration?

Thanks for all your efforts!

If you installed my mod including the era_ballaparks file, then yes, on the years where the park changes, it should change automatically

Silvam/Adion - Have you done the old PCL Parks?
I'm looking for Oaks Park/ Freeman's Park - Oakland
Chutes Park/Washington Park - LA

any or all of these for Sacremento
  • Hughes Stadium (1974–1976)
  • Edmonds Field (1936–1960) (called Cardinal Field and Doubleday Park at various times)
  • Sacramento Baseball Park (1934–1935)
  • Moreing Park (1922–1933)
  • Buffalo Park (1910–1914, 1918–1921)
  • Oak Park (1903, 1908–1909)
  • Snowflake Park (1893)
Both of these for SF. I want to say I've seen Recreation Park.
  • Ewing Field (1914)
  • Recreation Park (1903–1913, 1915–1930)
I'm doing a California League and i wanted smaller stadiums from the early days

Hughes

They've worked well for me. Hughes is a sentimental favorite of mine because of the living hellhole it was for pitchers.

Ty pointed to the Sacramento parks (thank you, Ty!), I've got a couple of these done as well:

Oaks Park c. 1910s

Oaks Park c. late 1930s

Washington Park (LA)

Rec Park (SF): Note that this park had a super small right field, and I made it without accounting for that--the right fielder sets up in the street beyond.

I also have Vernon's Meyer Park.

I've kicked around doing Ewing Field but don't quite have enough info after a bit of research, and it hasn't been a high priority. There are other 1910s/1920s-era non-California PCL parks in my thread, also (Seattle, Salt Lake City).

I won't say they're as high in quality as the parks in here, but they do have the benefit of existing.

Have any pics of what you mean?

If you mean a logo on the field. I try to stay away from that as much as possible to allow for use of the stadium in a non historic. Fashion

Miller Park

Have bumped into an issue that is beyond my technical skills. Purchased OOTP23 via Steam and downloaded the Historical Ballparks mod. Did this on multiple computers and redownloaded after update to game. However, when I try to play a series with modern-day Brewers at home, game always reverts to generic ballpark.

Other parks work fine. Anyway, just a heads up if anyone else is having this issue or there is a bug in that particular file in Steam Workshop.

Thanks.

Same thing is happening to me on the Windows PC version. I download the files, unzip them to the proper folder, manually import the data from the file, and then save...but every single game I play is on the generic field. I have no idea what I am doing wrong. All of the ball parks are pre-set to their respective fields in the year I am playing (1989) but when you play a game, it is always the same generic field.

scarter and DJH re: generic park appears after manual import.

on parks which show the generic park for 3D play after manually importing the prk file, check something for me since when this happens to me a simple fix is available.

on those troublesome parks, click on edit ballpark then click on pictures and coordinates. look at what is listed under 3D model under ballpark picture files on the left side of the page. is the correct park listed there?

I have had occasional parks showing generic park for 3D play after manual import of the prk file and in almost all cases the reason the generic park shows is because the obj file of desired ballpark failed to be shipped with the manual import. find the proper obj file at ballparks/models/(ballpark desired). Copy the obj file.

back at pictures and coordinates click select file for 3D Model and paste the proper obj file of the desired ballpark.

this almost always fixes the generic issue i sometimes have after manual import of various parks by various creators. you now should be able to use the correct 3D objects of the desired ballpark for things like manual games and for adjusting your own custom camera views.

I saw this last night and changed the 4th picture to one of the files from the mod and now it is working. Thanks!

Silvam,
Finally broke down and bought 23. Your all-in-one is unzipping now, and I'm looking forward to putting it to good use.

Is there any way to get the ballparks to not have the year in its name?
Just doesn't look right in the news.
