I understand why they called him up, but I don't understand why he seems to be starting every day. I guess it's either him or Keilty, but I'd rather see Keilty.

I'd rather see Johnson against righties than Kielty.

And I never want to see Rocco Baldelli ever again. He sucks, but he's good against the A's.

The River Cats season has been over since Monday.

That's becoming a very debatable topic.

Johnson should not be an MLB first baseman.

Seems to work - we bitch about a guy and he does something useful.

Marco Scutaro, what a loser. He swings like a girl!

I expect Johnson to have a Hatteberg-type career. I'll leave that up to you to decide whether he can be a major league 1B with that kind of production.

Man, Street has been *very* hittable against Tampa.

I hope he's 100% and didn't come back early.

Haren, Loaiza, Zito, Calero, Duchscherer... they were all knocked around, too. I hope Tampa is just mashing the ball right now, because this would be a very bad time for the pitchers to be bad at pitching.

IIRC, Silva had our number last year. He'll at least be giving one up to the Big Hurt though.

I can concede a big fly to Big Hurt. He is still my favorite player that I've been alive to see.

Silva's career vs. OAK:

1-1 in 5 starts, 3.75 ERA

In 2005, looks like I remembered right:

No decisions in two starts, 1.80 ERA

dola,

Looks like we've faced him twice this year though and knocked him around.

That sucks to give up so few runs and get no decisions. Not like it doesn't happen to Twins' pitching a lot.

Silva went 6 scoreless, giving up 1 baserunner (who got doubled up) so he faced the min. number of batters before getting the flu before the 7th.

Macha smells like caca. Dan Johnson has spent the bulk of the season in AAA, and now he gets to start every day in a pennant race! WTG, dumbass!
