I've been moving toward doing that with the new parks I make, but going back and redoing all of the old ones I've made/posted would be a bit of a chore, especially since I'm not sure if some of these parks have ever been used by anyone but me (and I don't mind the chopped-off feet so much).
I'm happy to do it on an as-needed basis for interested parties, though! |

I use your parks regularly. Many do.

I did get Russwood without the mound working but what I did might interest others as I was having problems before a tweak.
Basically the game was having a problem loading the 3D model into OOTP24, but it would load into OOTP23. The problem I had was the crowds on the outfield hill lacking animation (which is different than OOTP23). Go to Russwood mtl text file. Delete the three lines starting d,Tr,and map from the paragraph attendance2_gray. Copy the four lines starting Ni,d,illum, and map from the paragraph crowd_new_4. Paste those four lines back into the paragraph attendance2 directly under the Ns line. Edit the last line of the pasted group to read popularity2, not popularity4. Save the mtl file. Now the fans on the hill appear animated with OOTP24 and Russwood without the mound loads properly. Thanks again for your ballparks, asrivkin! |

Since No Pepper has permitted me a sneak peak of his upcoming Negro Leagues uniforms with those issued for my 1945 NeL season, I placed on Twitch a game at Russwood Park between the 1945 Memphis Red Sox hosting the 1945 Philadelphia Stars. Here it is so you can see both new No Pepper duds and moundless Russwood by asrivkin (link good for 7 days):
https://www.twitch.tv/kcstengelsr/video/1796914239 I varied my custom cam angles to get different looks at Russwood and I even featured an edited view from the left field hill for the fifth inning. The only problem I found was two fence posts behind the yellow fence in right-center which has the outfielder going through the fence twice in the Twitch game. I did bring those posts back in front of yellow fence after the game. Asrivkin, my now most wanted ballpark is Bush Stadium in Indianapolis which opened in 1931. My 1945 Cincinnati Indianapolis Clowns play in Crosley Field but Bush would be good to have for a Clowns ballpark in Indianapolis. Bush was also at times named Perry Stadium and Victory Field and it saw use through 1996. Known as Victory Field in 1945, Bush Stadium saw the bulk of the Clowns games a number of years. (I know the new modern Victory Field has been done by eriqjaffe and a re-imagined and expanded Victory Field was done by nielsoncp, but a Bush Stadium from the 1930s or 1940s would be great to have.) Thank you asrivkin and thank you No Pepper! |

I have a version of Russwood that I modified for my Negro Leagues. It has a fixed mound. It is available here: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/kee4neewub00m/Red_Sox |

Hi all!
I've had a few eventful months here for various reasons but hope to ease back into posting some 1920s-era non-MLB parks soon. I'm still on OOTP23 for what that's worth, but have moved to make no-mound parks my standard. Thanks to kcstengelsr and Braden! |

Thank you! It's mostly been good (some vacation travel, some work travel) but also had a visit from Rona (as they say) that happily seems to have had no lasting effects (that I know of).
(Changed in edit): I now see your Hamtramck, Braden--looks great, I look forward to using it! And I got KCStenglerJr's PM Bush Stadium request via PM. I just did the 1920 home of the Dayton Marcos and was planning to post that next, so at least that'll get one more Negro League ballpark onto the board! Westwood Park, Dayton
OK, here's today's contribution: Westwood Field in Dayton. According to Seamheads this was the Marcos' home field in 1920 and 1926 when they were in the Negro National League. There's not a ton of info out there--the map and aerial photo below informed the model, the interior shot (which I think but am not sure is Westwood Field) didn't. I haven't played a game in this one yet, but it looks ok in the OOTP23 ballpark editor... As usual, let me know if there's an issue, and hopefully I'll be able to answer it quickly!
Updated Google Drive link with version including .prk file! Last edited by asrivkin; 04-24-2023 at 08:37 AM. |

It's very hard to find good information for older ballparks. Not only are the photos blurry, but sometimes we would be lucky to even find an overhead map. I know from first hand how tough it is to research those 1950s~1990s historical stadiums. It must be much more difficult for you to make these gems (even older 1900s ballparks). Really awesome job!

I would be willing to playtest Westwood in Dayton but I had a slight problem. When unzipped my Westwood seems to be missing the .prk file and the .prk file is necessary for manual imports.
Asrivkin, Could you check this issue out and perhaps update your download to include the .prk file for Westwood? Thanks. |

Here's the new version, with .prk file included. I'm also attaching a screenshot with the values you need if you don't want to re-download. |

You mean like this kind of thing? I didn't make one, but could do so and post it here easily enough.

I only mentioned because on park page there is a place for day, night and diagram pictures. I can do the day and night, but not the diagram. I don't use the diagram for anything but some may.

I've been using this: https://www.ootputilities.com/parkgen/ and just downloading the image and using it for the diagram picture. So here's Westwood Park.

I downloaded and unzipped the link to Westwood with the .prk file. After manual import to be the ballpark for the 1920 Dayton Marcos I made sure that the .obj file was set in the 3D tab.
I set up the 1920 Negro Leagues with OOTP24. It currently shows the eight teams of the Negro National League that year along with one from the Eastern Independent Clubs. I tweaked the rosters of the St. Louis Giants and the Dayton Marcos to more accurately reflect those shown at the primary source Seamheads. I don't have No Pepper's 1920 Negro League uniforms but it sounds like those will be coming in the future. In the meantime I used the NeL logos and uniforms compiled by Tiger Fan in his minor league uniforms package while guessing for pants and stockings. I added custom sounds and custom camera angles to Westwood and set up an exhibition game between the 1920 St. Louis Giants and Dayton Marcos. I did not find any playing issues during this one game. See for yourself in this YouTube video of asrivkin's Westwood in Dayton, Ohio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eVi...el=kcstengelsr |

I have been playing the negro leagues on 23 for a while. I was playing the 1931 league when I got OOTP 24 and imported it. The import didn't do well and when I tried to move to 1932 it got all screwed up, e.g. extra team, not enough players, etc. I think it all relates to the database problems they are having. Thank goodness I still have on 23. I will try the import again with the db is fixed. I have a historic minor league folder that has lots of Negro League caps, jerseys and logos, including the marcos. I don't remember where I got this folder but I can put up for download if you want. I also have a lot of Negro League player photos up to 1932you may want to use instead of facegen ones. They are in this folder. https://www.mediafire.com/folder/p8o.../Negro+Leagues PS: Thanks for the diagram. |
